Has anyone ever seen a sprout that had it's complete shell still intact, yet the root continues to grow down. Will this ever sprout into a plant? This is weird I have never seen it before. The whole shell of the seed is still there except for where the root cracked down, it even poked through the top of the dirt with the shell still almost fully intact... help please...

if that dont happen you can remove the shell yaself but be VERY gentle!i had to do that to a few of mine and there big strong healthy plants now.

That does happen from time to time. Don't sweat it. Do like mrskitz said. Gently open the shell and you'll be fine. Don't wait too long or the leaves will not survive.

good luck

yeah, they usually come off real easy. i have to do it often, except when growing under a humidity dome, then i rarely have to.

i just did that to a couple germed seeds. 4 days above the surface an three sprouts still had shell intact. i took off the shell, and there were the two "seed leaves". the next day i noticed the first lil regular leaf. its so little, my girlfriend walked by an was like awww its so cute

Just keep dripping water on it every day and it will swell and fall off on its own.
If you damage it in removal it will die:blsmoke:
