SS420's new hydro grow - Blueberry, White Shark, ChemDog, OG kush

i had an idea MG you might want to try... pretty much its like any LST, except you plant into the ground and use the ground as if was an unlimited size pot.. you could lst the shit out of a plant that way... it would be nuts.. have the bitch all along the ground in a huge area.. wow... i wonder how that would be??

now what if you were to take a clone and root from both end then plant out side.. that would be NUTZ

well the 400wtt mh bulb that waz bad, it comes on and goes off again in a minute... this is a new bulb so i now its good. i run this 400wtt mh bulb in my 1000wtt hps ballast for a few weeks... so after unpluging and pluging it in over and over like 6 times my light is back up and running again.....YA. and they allsay a vilent bulb failure, ya right...

ive never seen a plant that has been rooted from both sides... i have no idea what that would even be like.... it would be badass tho... you really should try the lst like that tho... do it around the perimeter of the entire grow area.. that would be a sick fucking plant in the end...

glad you got your bulb situation fixed... does using the 1000w ballast take life away from your bulb tho??


got a question for all you guys... especially tm since he is growing the blueberries i am too... i have 1 bb that looks WAY different than the other two.. much more.. well.. i dont know how to explain it.. but it looks more like a bonsai than a bb girl.. and like i said, doesnt resemble the other two at all... my concern is it being male or something.. since tm has had problems with it too ive been thinking about it.. anyways.. question is what do you guys think??

the first 2 are of the BB in question.. the last pic has the other 2 "normal" BB in front...

i know phenos and shit can bring out different traits.. but there is just a huge difference between them.. and with the male scare tm has had with his bb's im worried.. maybe its just me being overly paranoid.. maybe not.. thoughts??

cut ur hours 2 18.6 and youll know in a week. that or take a cutting and put it in a glass of water *better yet* and putt in a dark closet, change the water daily for a week, and when ive done this the very top gos to budd and u can sex it..

i dont know ...ya i had poor experience so far with theses fem seeds, yet all the diffferent seeds had different phenos for sure.. but i have faith the ones that are fem have to be good genes.. the males i noticed had a tendency to have claw fan leaves, curling downwards just a bit. be4 they showed sex they showed this claw like leafing. i dont see that with yours. its really wierd this cycle the 1 girl i got out of those 4 bb seeds that came up, was real tall and lanky like a male. but she is all girly. i topped her and now i have a tall ass stretchy female, with a big 10'' V from where i topped her. funny looking , but im stoked on the genes, and ive already clonen her.
I think they all look good ...just wait and see. even if u got 1 out of em there real deal ...so i dont know wut to say about why i got shitty results. i have some down the block bag seeds of that purple kush, and evey1 i start has been female out of like 10 seeds so far. then i spend 130 bucks on fem BB seeds and i get aloot of pre flower balls. hm m dont know..but they do look lush..im excited to budd this plant.. now i have to seperate reputable strains of blueberry. will be interesting to compare

the female you have is crazy sounding for sure... i can picture it in my head too... i wonder what caused it to stretch like that?? the more and more i hear about BCBD the less i like them... seems their genetics are all very shakey.. and that the fem'd seeds they send out are more likely mixed than femd..

i guess i just never thought of presexing... or at least to ensure they are female.. and really its only the one.. maybe ill wait for another week or so... take a cutting from each BB and see what they turn.. just for peace of mind... its so hard to decide what im most looking forward to the most.. i want them all... the blueberry has long been a favorite strain of mine tho... it would be cool to purchase blueberry seeds from 6 or 7 banks and compare everything from growth to yield to taste to potency, ect... im down to sit and smoke a whole bunch of different buds and compare them!! makes me want to take a trip to the cannibus cup... i AM going to go to the cannibus cup in the next 2 years for sure tho.. just have a LOT to take care of between now and then..

cant really change my cycle time cause i dont have any timers right now... yea..... its all manual on/off if i want to... 12/12 aint bad.. its easy to remember... but im bound to forget 18/6 at some point...

gottcha.. well 18/6 slows down the veg growth anyways. thats why they preflower harder under that lighting..instead of focusing on st8 veg growth.. so youll get bigger plants in less time under your regiment.. ya who knows bout bcbuddepot..but i did see a god bud grow that looked amazing..so i dont know yet whether to start pointing the finger or not..

i dont think that BCBD has shit seeds.. just shakey ones.. at least when it comes to their fem'd actually being fem'd.. it seems their genetics are good and strong strain wise.. just nice sex wise... in the end as long as you get good plants thats the important thing right??

i really dont think i have too much to worry sex wise... i know all the plants should be females.. the only ones i have to really watch are the whiteshark and blueberries.. and really theres only the one weird blueberry im really questionable about.. your right tho.. i could switch to 18/6 and get preflowers sooner... i am just concerned with keeping the established plants as short as possible until the new ones have some time to catch up... just want to limit stretch all around..

truth is i just get tired sometimes of answering the same questions over and over... i spent 3 days writing a thread that was start to finish everything you need to grow, life cycle, basic nute needs, ect... and ive been adding to it... and fuck if i dont see the same shit thats covered in it asked multiple times a day... it really just comes down to the new members and most new growers just not givin a fuck and not wanting to read shit...

oh yeah.. the veteran members, when they do give rep, are HUGE rep values.. i just have a hard time going through the forums cause im tired of answering the same 5 questions over and over... i do have my friendly days tho and like to spend time answering questions.. i just go through spurts where i get burned out...

the ones in the clear cups i transplanted the day of the pic and the roots where out the rockwool cube like 4" to 6" long, but are fucked with mites...trying to save them. got controle of the problem so far... newley cut clones are looking ok so far... but as you can see the one in the clear cups look pretty bad.. they looked really good 3 days b4 the stork waz feed and ready to fly, then shit broke out in a mass force......

they do look rough.. poor little girls... mites are vicious.. they seem bad this year... just been reading a lot about outbreaks...keeping my fingers crossed i dont have to worry about it... been lucky so far that what i have had to deal with was very minor...

YA I GOT mites everywhere..crawling out my earns nose and ass this year. wtf..is it my home..must be the surrounding circumstance..well now im pissed, they got me all worked up ..im marching this ass outside on a vicous upcoming assault.. concrete slab around entire home is getting sprayed with heavy insectiside, and im bombing the crawl space..have fun motherfuckerSSS..

my flower room i took control of and kicked there little mite asses. the green house has been mite free thank god..

that is fucking nuts you still have them.. after everything.. it must just be location bro... if they are that bad.. might just be one of them things you have to deal with in the spring to fall months.. or maybe just a few eggs survived and hatched and started it all over... hell i dunno... can you take the plants outside and spray them off with a hose or something?? or even spray them off inside the garage and let the water run outside?? i know your flowering and shit.. and it isnt the best time to do it.. but if you spray them off well, get some neem on them and feed them it a few times it should pretty much take care of it.. maybe spray the walls in the flower room with some bleach spray while the plants are dripping dry a little?? just a thought.. a pain in the ass one.. but an idea non the less...

im starting to get really thankful i havent gotten them again this year.. i mean.. im always thankful when i dont have them.. but they seem to making a stand this year for sure... ive said it before and ill say it again, i wouldnt wish mites on my worst enemy.. assuming that he too grew.... or maybe thats what i would wish on my worst enemy.. a big outbreak of mites and thrips and gnats, oh my...

so ive kinda been lazy when it comes to any updates of my grow... figured id go ahead and throw a little blurb in about everything...


3 of the sprouts have taken off.. i mean really taken off.. they look great.. im amazed at the growth they have done thus far... the other 4 sprouts are shot...i had pulled them from the hydro system to let them root a little more.. i was doing something in the room the other day and slipped and ended up falling on them... yea.. fucked them up.. out of them i think 1 or 2 might survive... so i ended up saying fuck it today and taking cuttings.. i took 2 og kush and 2 white shark... i only need 4 at most.. and im not worried about not getting roots... so no matter what ill have a full garden...

as far as the rest of the plants go all i can say is DAMN... they are EXPLODING with growth... the white shark is about 18" wide and only 13" tall... it almost looks like 2 plants from such a sucessful supercrop... the OG kush looks like a damn bonsai tree.. and the BB are all looking fantastic... the one blue berry i was worried about ended up bushing out a lot since i FIM'd it.. the other two look great as well.. at least 12 to 15 tops on each so far... i am hoping i get more... gonna wait a week or two and FIM again... and im also starting to see alternating nodes.. so they are close to maturity... shits really looking good...

i cant say enough how happy i am with the hydro system... after all the trouble ive had and learning ive had to do i can honestly say its worth it... the growth rate is amazing.. almost 1 1/2 to 2 times faster than soil.. i think the new plants will catch up with the older ones within a week or so...

the amount of water the plants drink is outrageous also.. when i change the reservoir i put in 40 gallons of water... i changed it this last saturday... it was down to about 25 gallons today.. so i added about 10 gallons to them... but damn.. its crazy... they just drink and drink... and of course now they are blowing through nutes.. i cant imagine what it will be like with 12 full grown plants drinking water and using nutes... and whats more the ebb and gro system is able to feed up to 48 sites... i couldnt even been to imagine how much water 48 girls would use a day.. i would be adding water and nutes everyday.. i wouldnt have to change the res out because within a few days it would be a whole new res of nutes anyways...

so after all this talk im sorry to say no pics.. 2 days to go till i post new ones... till then just close your eyes and try to imagine...
