Stalk shrinking! Help!

I would like to think of myself as a pro, however this situation here is blowing my mind, and i was hoping to get some feedback from other farmers.

My whole garden is thriving, and this plant was one of the dons all year so far until about a week ago. it is the only plant that is less than perfect.

it is the Qleaner, from subcool. and it's a monster. In the last several days, it has started to turn a lighter shade of green. the leaves do not stand straight up in the mornings lately, and it has occasional whitish/yellowish tips and leaf edges. the thing that is really freaking me out is that the stalk is shrinking at the bottom. the stalk of every other plant is constantly thickening, and this one is getting smaller. it has lost maybe 10 to 15 percent of its girth. instead of going from thick to thicker, its going thick to thinner. i am freaking out.

there is a couple things i could see it being. root rot is one, because it seems to be drinking no water. symphilids are a soil pest that chews on your root hairs, but i can't tell if i have found them or not.

i need help bad. my whole scene is 100% true living organics. no chems/schwaggy bottles.

any feedback would be appreciated fully. i'll get some pictures on here tm.

Is it possible the rest of the stalk is fattening, and the bottom part isn't, giving the impression it's shrinking?

looks like u should just plop some soil ontop the soil till u get to the fatter point.. .and try to let that soil dry before watering.. rootrot can be helped with some Cannazym to help decompose the roots that are dead!
