Stalk splitting

Just noticed some splitting on my stalk near the bottom where it was topped.

Its right on the Y. Splitting down dead center.

I may have manhandled it a bit too much while spraying the other day..

Its just now starting to pre flower so im worried about the weight etc ripping it apart later on.

Any suggestions?

take a twist ties and ties it around it. Not a big deal if I am understanding the issue.

Would it be safe to say its gonna need some major staking later on? Since it took so little pressure to make it start splitting already?

HOw old is it? did it do a lot of stretching? It really depends you will just have to watch and see what it need.
