standards of weed in uk vs us

we grow dank outdoor bud, that's whats so badass about it, and that's why it's so CHEAP.

maybe slightly more access to those close-knit strains. I hear of a lot of local strains out here that many of you probably would have never even heard of. hell I can' barely even remember their names.

anyways, it's definitely due to the outdoor growing and the selective breeding.

not to say that the UK doesn't have selective breeding, the US just has better strains.

Ok in quantity it's similar prices. A pal of a grower in this part of America might get ounces of high end herb for £213. They'd weigh 28 grams.

That pal of course would probably get the name of the strain from the grower.

Ha! This Blue Cheese i've just got is the first bit of smoke i've ever had that i've known the strain and that's only cos the guy i got it off got it straight from the grower. My entire youth was spent smoking "some weed" lol

America though is really large and has regions where it's better or worse of course. I'd grade my region as better than average...not the best.

true that, I live in one of those hot zones, it doesn't even get dry here. it did last year but for some reason this year it didn't at all.

You also need to consider that we smoke weed differently then those in the UK and abroad.

Americans rarely mix pot and tobacco, unless you're smoking a blunt...still, not a common way to smoke it, esp. kind bud, imo. Across the pond, spliffs are the way to go. I never saw them smoking anything else other than spliffs.

I personally think the taste of weed changes when you add a cancer stick, so I don't think taste would matter as much--not to say it wouldn't matter--if I was just smoking spliffs versus some serious bong hits. Like serious, serious bong hits, .

no no no, see i work with the grower, he grows and we move the product(we bein me n 3 of my boys plus all our street dealers) we all get a equal share of the profit, only problem is we cant buy shit coz we cant explain were we got the money from.

damn ukgrower in ontario canada you could get the same ratio but in canadian dollars which the current exchange rate 1 canadian dollar is like 0.60 pounds. an ounce of great white shark (primo, for example) could be had for 240 CAD or about 150 pounds. course it always boils down to who you know..

you can get ounces for very cheap prices aswell, we have 2 prices, shot prices(you wanna sell) smoke prices(you know), a ounce in shot prices can go anywhere between £110 to £180 depending on strain, usually then goes into 1g bags at £10 each (usually a strain like blu cheese or cheese) my prices are high because our stuff is the shiznik crackl, you can easily get cheaper weed but its always lower quality than ours.

in UK we always smoke the exodus cheese & blue cheese, smoking it now - In the US, i hear you can get some nice strains that we don't get like - Pink Pez, Grape ape etc.

i think it is utter idiocy to think that the UK generallyu has better weed than the states.

the only thing that i can say about what i've heard from the states vs what i have bought in the UK is that in the US high's and mids and suhc seem to be catagorissed by things like bagseed. bagseed seems highly prevalent. in the UK i've never bought under pretence of high's and mids and such, it's just "bud" and i've only ever once found seeds in my bag, whihc came from an ounce of early cut hermie/polinated.

thats what im sayin, all our weed is highs, we have almost no seeded weed except thai and the occasional afghan, almost every bit of our weed is grown here or france or holland, all our weed is hydro or coco, we have some of the best growers in the world but we charge for the piff, if you cant afford it you can always buy off the triads.

i've never been to the uk but i would have to imagine that the absolute shittiest weed there couldn't hold a candle to the shit factor of the shittiest weed in the states. where would it even come from in the uk? where is their mexico? on the other hand i suspect the states may have a lot more stronger shit also just due to the medical mj stuff that's been going down over the last decade. but if i were to pick i would probably be happier with the uk weed scene because it seems a lot more consistant. the variety in the states really fucks with local black markets in a lot of places. i tend to think that people who live in medical states can be a bit jaded as to how bad it really is in some parts. around my parts if you don't know someone who grows it's mexi mids for you, unless your connect comes across some "indoor" whatever the hell that's supposed to be.

actually canada..british columbia...and basically any other country where the climate is right to grow is better than the us u cant honestly tell me that cali indoor weed is better that bc bud or jamaican outdoor....but hands down the netherlands have the best weed!!! fuckin afghan grows better weed then the states!!

but i would haveto agree that the us does have betta erb than the uk....im a bermudian i own a british passport i smoked d erb out der...i lived in the states for about 4-5yrs and i will admit that us has betta bud than the uk

our lowest grade is thai, its compressed and is full of seeds, the only reason its here is because its cheap as dirt and people like to grow the seeds and cross it, our mids are jamaican outdoor which is very nice if u get a good batch, our high grade(which is most prevelant) is just standard indoor hydro, our very high grade is name strains grown by people who love weed, our best of the best comes straight from the grower and there are no words to describe how amazing the weed is, faaaaar better than any dutch stuff, over here its called "dutch munk" and to us is standard high grade.

I don't get it. You're all talking about imported weed. Clearly the US and UK have terrible weed, our climate isn't ideal, especially the UK. So were arguing about how close importers live to our neighborhoods? Or to simplify it, how shitty our neighborhood is? And furthermore, your talking to a forum full of farmers, all of our weed is fucking fantastic unless we suffer from some form of mental retardation.

we have very little weed imported, most of it is grown here, indoors.

exactly my point indoor just isnt better than outdoor grown in the right climate!
