Staring A Set Up Indoor

I was wondering if this would be a good set up! Me and my home boy is going to make a grow room in his walk in closet. We have 8 23 watt CFL's and 2 48 inch flouresent Sun Rise tubes. Do i need a 400 watt HPS light or would the lights i got do a pretty good grow?

hps will always outgrow cfl's. I'd go with both.

I would use what you have for veg and a hps would be the best way to go for flowering. Your current setup will work but you may not get the best yield.

Okay cool! You think i should get a HPS light? I dont know where to get one and i heard they are expensive.

Oh also what if i get 8 23watt 3000k CFL's? Will that produce a bigger yeild?
And when in flowering keep the 48 inch flour tubes on wile i have the 8 3000k CFL's? or just leave only the CFLs on?

If u can afford the hps, get it, u won't regret it come time to harvest. The cfl's u mentioned are more suited for flowering since they are 3000k, but not to worry, even hid's can use some side lighting when plants get big. Personally, I veg them seedlings under cfl's, 6500k, for about a month, makes em nice and bushy if u keep em real close. But come flowering time I kick on the hps and watch the buds grow! Check out HTGSUPPLY.COM, they got everything u need. True, the hid's can be expensive, but my 400 hps more than paid for itself with the zip of bomb chron it helped produce the first time I used it

Oh can u answer this question please! When it comes time to flowering and i put my 2500K-3000K CFl's On(im using 8 Cfl's) should i leave my 48 inch flour tubes with reflector? Just a reminder im only going to have 2 plants!

The more light the merrier, and the merrier you will be when you smoke the results.

U can definately do that. Even when plants are in flowering it's more natural to have the entire spectrum, or a good mix.

Is the HPS system different then getting the bulbs? I dont know how the HPS system hooks up or if you can just get the bulbs!
