Start in ground or inside?

Hey guys my original intention was to start inside and transplant out around first topping time but now it's already late May and my season is May 24-oct1st then stuff starts getting about scary so my question is do I still start inside (outside during the day back inside for the nights) or should I just be going and planting the germinated seeds right in the ground and hope they make it? Or grow them acouple inches then transplant any help would be appreciated getting my self quite confused on the best idea here thanks!

They're going into a triple mix of mushroom compost peat loam and peat moss with a 30% perlite mix by the way around 20gallon holes

They are still pretty fragile at even a couple inches tall. You grow season is about right on with mine, I have a couple more weeks in October.
If you start indoors and then put out at end of June they should still give a couple to few O's each. Better than nothing.
I started April 4 and everything is over a foot tall and prob shouldn't still be in cups but they will all be out this week anyway.
But if you could protect them some how for a month like chicken wire or something then sure go for outside.
Good luck and like i always say, a little is better than none!

I'd go ahead and start them outdoors, but in 1 gallon pots. You're less likely to have a slug eat your seedling or something rotten like that if you start with pots. It's also easier to keep track of the seeds and water in pots until they get a little bigger.

For comparison, my neighbors started 12 seeds straight in the ground and only ended up with a few plants making it. They ended up coming to me for a few extra plants that they originally didn't think they would need. Luckily I start extras because I want all the people around me to grow good weed.

Thanks for the advice guys and it's still going down to about 5 out there at night right now I don't wanna leave them out anything lower then 10 really when they're that young so maybe I'll bring them all to the grow spot June first have them germinated ready to go bring all my cups and set up chicken wire around them until June 20th transplant right around when they should go into flower?
