Startin to stink!!

ok so my grow room and the room outside is startin to stink like freaking crazy. i can smell it and the plants are only 5 inches tall. Its a 36 sq ft space and i have a 190 cfm fan pulling air through a carbon filter and pushing through a 400w hps and out the floor but it still stinks. any suggestions?

The smell is the best part. Does alot of traffic get near ur set up? If not enjoy it.

make sure the carbon filter is above the light, somewhere at the very top.

prevents heat pockets from building up at the top of the room and leaking smell out

otherwise, all i can suggest is make sure everything is as airtight as possible.

wood and stuff may look solid but it has pores and lets air through the same as sponge

when i grew in my dorm i used a roll of saran wrap and duct tape to temporarily make my closet as air-tight as possible

then i covered everything in mylar

that way any air going out went out of the filter, not through a crack

do you think i have enough cfm, i have lots of cracks in my setup. so i will be making it airtight but is my fan and filter good as far as cfm goes?

its failing because of the cracks in the grow space im sure. because even with something that isnt optimal which my fan and filter may be or may not be i still shouldent have stink problems with 10 plants that are only 4 inches to 5 inches tall.

that should be enough cfm to keep things cool, but there needs to be few enough cracks that the cracks just act as intakes rather than it being possible for air to go outwards

you need a littel underpresure/negativ presure .. to keep the odour inside .. so all air leaveing the grow room actualy pass through the filter ..

make the passiv intake(I reccon you have one ?) smaller .. also try to fix any leakes .. will also help you doing flowering as you realy dont want any light in ther either .. and belive me .. light finds ways ..

but ther is this wonderfull invention ... calld Gaffa tape or dutch tape ... cheap and easy to use .. can fix many things ;)

U sau uve got 36 sq. Ft.? How many cubic feet? U may need a bigger fan or like someone else said about the bends in ur ducting greatly reduce flow plus ur filter.. u need neg pressure to keep the smell in ur room/box. Add an intake fan! Smaller than ur exhaust..a 4" duct booster will work. Line the inside of the box with plastic
