starting a new grow

im looking to start a new grow in a closet my last one didnt turn out good didnt have the proper lamps etc im asking yall the people where can i get good heating lamps etc like a website i have paypal money or i would buy them from a hardware store and what type of dirt should i use :peace:

Dam 140, ur gonna have to go with either ALOT of CFL's or T5 Grow light.

Soil ill go with either Pro-mix BX or Roots organic

Nutes ill go with Fox Farm or Advanced nutrients. Both are good but can run alittle hot so run them half strength

140 is not even close enough to grow anything...... You should take that 140 then add about 500 bucks to that total and you well still barely have enough to grow anything....

Welcome bro, hey use what you have and grow 1 auto or something small, not sure what seeds u have?? Idk t5 are getting more and more $$$$ maybe just look into Cfl's top and side mounts.... good luck

I am a Noob myself,
My suggestion is start out small and Don't try to overdo things, KEEP IT SIMPLE.
Start out with some bag seeds for experience, a floro for vegging and then a HPS for flower.
Add to your setup as money allows and spend alot of time reading here learning and learning on your own grows as you go.
You will be surprised how much you can learn and expand on your setup with some research and a little time and patience.

$140. Thats about what I spent at start up. I would get the t5 lights, I got the 2ft 4 bulb light for around $75. I have 5 plants, started with 8, and they are all on the 5th week of flowering. It's good to start cheap, then add as you get the money. I added a couple side CFL's when they flowered.

I wouldnt recommend growing marijuana without a license issued by the state you reside. The state also has to be one of the 14 with decriminalization of marijuana. Otherwise, it would be illegal to do this and you will be fined and even sentenced to jail time.

Dude Amazon is pretty good. they ship fast and if ur a member u can get prime shiping. but HTGsupply.com is a good place to just look at alot of different products people use and do your research from there.

My 2 cents

A 140 dollar low budget grow can be done. If you are growing one or two plants under CFL's. 6500k and 2700k
Soil... just plain old Kellog potting soil and Perlite...5 bucks each@ Homedepot or lowes
Nutes are up to you. I'm using cheap old Miracle grow-all purpose and
Miracle grow - bloom @ 1/2 strength.. again 5 bucks each...lol
My plants are doing just fine on this stuff.
