Starting clones in Rockwool? (DWC Hydro)

Hey there,

I'm getting some clones to start in my DWC box and I'm using shredded rockwool cubes in 3gal net pots, and I have starter plugs. Is this sufficient for a sensitive culture system like hydro? I've heard that rockwool can effect the PH of your system. I'm a first time grower so I'm just lookjng for feedback, and possibly tips.

Stay away from rw as your main media. It retains to much water.. either. Go with hydroton or just collars and netpots

1 inch cube would be ok but i would throw the shreded stuff away and use hydroton ,lava rocks or plain old crush gravel if budget iis tight you want moister plus air if need more help ask
