Starting First Closet Grow - Need Input! PLEASE

I would go with big bud or northern lights. Or what I like is the auto flowers. you can fit 20 plants of autos in a closet and get an o per plant in 10 weeks from the time you plant the seed. Another good thing is you can leave the lights on 24 the whole time so you dont need a timer and you dont have to worry about light seeping in during dark time and turning your plant into a herm. you can get 2 crops before you would get one of a full size also with at least 25 oz out of both crops in 20 weeks. Just something to think about. Ps get your seeds from attitude they are the best! Good luck.

Thanks for the great reply, +rep, and I was going to get the seeds from attitude. Honestly I was looking for the best strain to get, and that autoflowering seems ideal for me, because I'm pretty sure they tend to stay small, around 18" max I believe if done correctly. How many autoflowering would fit and grow nicely under a 400w MH/HPS, in a 5' long, 1'-2' deep, and 7' or 8' tall closet. Also, since they're "auto-flowering", do I start the grow with HPS since they're already in flowering stage? I'd probably use the MH for about a week or so until theyre at least growing a bit.. What's the strongest and biggest yeild producing autoflowering feminized strain? THanks for the input, greatly appreciate it!

PS: I really need to know ASAP how many plants a 400w MH/HPS could grow in that sized closet?

I would stick to 10 at a time for max amount of buds. you could get away with hps on 24 the whole time but if you got a mh I would use it. They go into flower in 3 weeks. I think the auto ak has a big yeild but Im a big blueberry fan and they are in stock. Just go to the auto flower section on attitude and read about every one and see what you like. They tell you alot of info on the strains. Deff get fem seeds. Keep me posted on your plants. Dont tell any of your friends at all. Thats how I got busted in march and he was a friend of 10 years. i hear that the blueberry has a tendancy to not flower automatically, and also strain is not stable ... at all. but hey take a huge risk your first grow..

He may be right but I dont know because I have not grown the auto blueberry before. I am going to try it anyway but I may just do 5 just to be safe. The lr2 looks pretty good and easy. The only autos I have done myself where the buddah white dwarfs and those were fire!

I might grow 10 normal plants, but I like autoflowering because they don't have a chance to go hermie because I'm pretty sure you can leave the lights on a 24/0 schedule. I mean I know you could also do 18/6 which I might towards the end, but why do that if you don't have to risk it.

you cant fit 10 normal plants in that space without crowding the shit out of them. most of the autos do well under 24. They say the more the better,plus if you do normal ones if even the slightest bit of light hits them during there 12/12 they will herm. For example,if you grow outdoor and your plants are flowering just checking them with a flashlight at night can make them a hermie. Also do you have a carbon filter for odor or a fan?

Yeah I have an oscillating fan and I'm getting an exhaust fan and 6" inline fan too so I think I'll be ok. Possibly a small a/c depending on temps..

cool man. stay in touch with me on this thread and keep me posted. my wife is on probation for 9 more months so I cant grow again Til then so Im living through yours and other peoples grows to keep me hyped til then. Peace!

Nice, and yeah eventually I'll start a journal. I have 2 going on though, possibly going to do 2-4 auto ak's somewhere else, but thinkin 10-12 in the other spot. And i'd be glad to keep everyone posted as long as I keep getting the great help that I need :)
