starting h&g bud xl before bud formation?

Im using their full line in coco DTW and follow their nutrient calculator/Schedule to the t, and dial it in to my target ec. Says to start bud xl at week 4, basically right when you start seeing bud formation. But the thing is i have several strains that are taking a little longer then the rest to start budding. Is it cool to still feed these strains with this?

I start Budxl @ day 21 of the 12/12 cycle...no problem
