Starting indoors, finishing outdoors

Wondering if folks have experiences with a hybrid approach to finishing out photoperiod flower in the sun. The idea is starting the flowering period indoors a few weeks before flowering commences naturally outdoors, and then transferring the plants out to finish in the sun. This is akin to light dep, but using an existing small scale indoor setup to get the party started rather than a greenhouse which needs to be covered/uncovered daily, and also giving longer flowering varieties more time to finish outside while it’s still nice out. Well I am trying this now, started the flowering indoors in July, moved them out in August, kept a couple of the longest flowering/highest stretch to have the indoors to themselves, as even with the head start they would probably take too long outside. Anyway just wanted to see what people’s indoors/outdoors hybrid approaches have been specifically if you have dabbled in such experimentation successfully or have found benefits to a hybrid growing system.
