Starting my first grow advice plz

Ok so ive been looking in hydro for a while now and im thinking about using 18-20g tubs. Im getting my card soon so i can have 6 mature plants. What would be the best way to do this is 4 plants to much for 1 tub or should i do 2 plants per? only going to be using a 5x5x6 grow tent with a 600hps

Really depends on how you plan on growing your plants out.

Personally I'd do a recirculating DWC setup with the 6 plants spread out over a 4x4' area under the light and grow them out slightly bigger.

If you're gonna use a 18g tote though, I'd probably go with a scrog with the 6 plants in one tub.

If you were willing to buy some fence post and pvc you could make a stinkbud aero system that would work nicely in that space.

I do mine in single 5 gallon coolers as my reservoirs just to avoid roots becoming tangled at some point. Roots being tangled might be a problem some people dont worry about it but I didnt want to ever have to worry about it.

I agree. I use black 5 gallon buckets wrapped in reflectix which are a lot cheaper than coolers but thats a good idea to keep the water cold. I would do a perpetual grow. You could veg 3 while you flower the other 3. If you're worried about electricity I can tell you that a 4 bulb t5 HO is 216 watts and will cover 3 perfectly with little heat. It will grow em fast and get em real bushy too with all that blue light. Then lift up the lids and throw em in the other three buckets to bloom under your hps. You could scrog too so the three plants fill up a square footprint. I'de say you could have a lb every 2-3 months instead of 4-6 months.
