He is trying to help and thats great, but when someone disagrees with you without the facts its a waste of my time and annoying and thats why i said what i said.I think that ^ is the reason for the misunderstanding and @beneficialife11 was only trying to help.
Your fucked. It's too late in the year. Better luck next year, pick differant strains and learn better timing
Either you get them to finish or they are gonna be garbage. Way too early to harvest. Next run prep for the cool/wet by using something like Actinovate.
I’m sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with the “do not chop” sentiment. I held off on chopping premature bud and basically lost all of it. We’ve been having A LOT of rain for September in the northwest, almost record levels. No offense but if you killed it now there’d be no harvest. Literally no bud there.. just pistils and leafs. Either keep her as dry as possible and wait longer or well throw it out.
Mold is present everywhere. The spores are even in space. Just because the spores spread doesn't mean the mold spreads, the spores need to find themselves into compact nugs and then the right conditions need to exist for the mold to grow. I carefully cut out mold. We have been getting more rain then usual in southern Oregon and I have some present in my garden only on my gelatos though. Everything else is chill. Makes sense because they are the fattest buds. In my light dep sea of green sometimes ill see a little mold in the top most dense buds but i cut it out and it never really takes over more then 5% of the crop. Thats in a contained environment. (Semi contained) anyways Im never going to advise someone to cut down their plant at the sight of a little bud rot. That's my experience not saying that I'm right and anyone else is wrong Im just speaking my personal experience and truth. This has been my experience with bud rot. I worry way more about pests like russet/broad mites or bang and root aphids destroying shit then I do about mold because in my experience without good integrated pest management practices bugs can be DEVASTATING.I’m sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with the “do not chop” sentiment. If our buddy doesn’t end up with primo bud, that’s unfortunate, but shitty premature bud can still be used to roll fat joints to puff on and such. Whereas totally rotten bud will just become a source of botrytis spores that spread everywhere. If our dude is that worried about it, I’d advise him to hedge — cut some now and leave the rest. Especially cut colas that have already proven susceptible, perhaps, since I’ve noticed botrytis affects the stem and may be pretty systemic.
I live in Oregon and have been chopping to hedge my bets, including some weed that’s pretty immature. I’ve still got a hella of a lot growing outside so maybe it’s a luxury I can afford. Anyway, I basically think if bud rot is spreading like wildfire, you might as well salvage than lose it all.
It basically depends on the conditions he’s seeing, and he’s gotta be the best judge of that.
Again, I don’t have a lot of experience but I’ve seen enough bud rot this year to have it scare the living shit out of me. I’ve got other plants that haven’t got it yet, so I’d rather excise the shitty plant to let them grow than let it become a repository for botrytis in the vain hope I can still get it to mature...
No disrespect intended, just the perspective of a trailer trash dipshit who’s got a lot of bud rot and wants to get rid of it before my other plants get it...

Heres some mushroomed chomes from that oneListen to the member that said it’ll just be leaves and pistils. It might get you high for all of 2 days before you won’t feel anything at all. Whatever trichomes are there will not have looked like a mushroom yet, so you won’t even have much THC-A let alone THC. I’d much rather gamble on letting it go atleast another 2-3 weeks than to flush 3.5 months down the drain for maybe 14 grams of immature flower.
But these threads most of the time are opened looking for confirmation moreso than an honest opinion. You know your situation better than anyone on here, so if you feel you’re losing bud at an uncontrollable pace and want to cash your chips in, go for it. I’ve just been reading these forums long enough to know that no one on here will ever support harvesting early flower.
Haha same! That's pretty good for a noob lol

No criticism intended. I assumed he posted photos post-removal, I agree the plants look fine in the pics. You clearly know what you’re talking about, no disrespect intended. Why not share pics of the actual issue when the post is about an issue like bud rot? Usually when people post about an issue and attach photos the photos are generally of the issue at hand. I looked at the photos and didnt see any bud rot. Honestly even with higher humidity those flowers wouldn't mold as botrytis forms inside the pockets of large dense buds. Those flowers arent big enough to harbor botrytis Iwas just trying to help you and save you from all the bad advice that your plants are a lost and should be thrown away. Alot of noobs also over analyze things and misdiagnose issues constantly due to lack of experience. I have not seen any bud rot in your photos and my personal opinion is that I have delt with bud rot every year in our commercial gardens and its never a reason to harvest early or take an entire plant down/throw it away. Botrytis is a part of growing outdoors and if every little bit of bud rot would cause growers to have to chop plants then growing outdoors wouldnt be economical. Seed plants are more resistant to mold aswell as certain strains. Mold is an inevitably but is factor in. 5-10% to mold is generally a given. It has never wiped out a garden of mine even with a strong presence in the garden. Neither has it any other grower that I know. Again you are posting on a forum asking other growers their advice, I replied and my advice is to carefully cut out mold into a plastic bag and remove it from the area and to whip down scissors with alcohol between cuts and to patiently wait and harvest when plants are ready. If you want to throw your plants away then be my guest.View attachment 4400011

Dude, those plants look dank and you clearly know your shit. And I think your advice is right on — EXCEPT...Mold is present everywhere. The spores are even in space. I started rambling before I saw this, my bad!No worries, best intentions!! Happy growing brotha.
The mold has hit flowers that are small and some that are consistent size and the top flower on some branches. If anyone knows growing outdoor in bc please help seems most of medium size flowers are okay so far.Mold is present everywhere. The spores are even in space. At this point — considering how much you’ve stirred the pot, — you might want to post some photos of your bud rot. I hate doing that too, but it’s obviously an embarrassment for all of us, LOL.The mold has hit flowers that are small and some that are consistent size and the top flower on some branches. Ive stirred the pot? Only embarrasment is your lack of knowledge, if you cant picture bud rot then you are no helpAt this point — considering how much you’ve stirred the pot, — you might want to post some photos of your bud rot. SAMEPix of bud rot or it didn’t happen.
Whoa there, I was being tongue in cheek. I am capable of visualizing bud rot but it might help to understand how extensive it is if you post a photo of what you’re talking about. No need to get upset.Ive stirred the pot? Only embarrasment is your lack of knowledge, if you cant picture bud rot then you are no help
Portland Oregon. My friend out by the coast has lost virtually his entire crop.Pix of bud rot or it didn’t happen.
