Starting to grow weed...

Hello, im new here, and im new in growing..

I will start growing my baby tomorrow. Im getting trinity kush seeds. Its mostly indica.. 90/10

I will post pictures fast as it will get first roots from germinating...

I have few noobish Q!
1. I will grow it in a box from start to harvest .. The box height is 3 feet. It could be a little bit less. I have put foil in there as well. Can i do it with 2700k cfl's, and i know 6400k, 6500k is best for veg, but where i live, i dont have any shops where can i get bulbs with more than 2700k, and i cant shop online atm. And i dont want to get HPS just for 1 plant.. If yes, how much cfl's (2700k) do i need? I have one 150w gls bulb as well if it is useful.
2. The fan's problem, i definately cant put a normal fan in that box.. but i have 2 pc coolers in there! It would be alright?
3.Soil... i havent got the best soil, it was well cheap, but what can i mix to it to make it better for my plants? Like tea baggs or something?

Hi David.

-Yes, using CFLs you can flower a plant in a 3' box. Don't worry about the number on the bulb. What you have will do fine.

-Use as much light as you can fit in there with the fan limitations you have. Don't let the temps get above 90.

-What kind of soil do you have? Lots of people use cheap soils like Miracle Grow, Scotts and Schultz. They grow great plants if you use them properly.

I use Gardenline Seed & Cutting compost. It says i can germinate seeds in this soil as well.. It says not recomended for rhododendrons, azeleas, heathers and other acid-loving plants.. I am going to mix it with some baking soda and tea bags i think.. because how i heard, ganja is acid loving plant..

Can i use that 150w gls light bulb? it has 1700 lumens, and it gets well hot when turned on.
At the moment i have 2 cfl 2700k bulbs, one 20w and other 15w. Im afraid to put the gls bulb, cuz it could be too hot for them. Im getting seeds in abit noww....

im on my first cfl im running close to 400 actual watts on 2 plants box is made from an old dresser intake and outake is 2 small fans i had laying around my temp never gets above 75

ganja not so much acid loving in soil, its most happy at slightly acid (ph 6.5) but lower than that starts problems.
try your other bulb, buth as smokinrav says dont let it get above 90F in there but if you can get it lower than 85F even better imo

nah man there done with there stretch and when they do get close the floor lowers down so i got all the room i need

i have 3 seeds now. im going to grow one.. i wonder if i put them straight to 12/12 lights or veg them for 1 week and then put to 12/12 light cycle, which variation would be best?.... i know that i will have some small buds, and only one cola.. but could i get at least 7 or lil bit more grams from it?

1 week veg? Why bother if you're going to 12/12 in a week. Go read the "12/12 from Seed" thread.

okay, thanks for the information peaople! i will update this journal. Im germinating my seeds now.. but can someone tell me how can i improve my soil a little bit? i wont use any fertilizers.. just with some things that is cheap, or i can find at home like tea bags, baking soda..?

wouldn't recommend the baking soda, notice how reactive it is with vinegar, something like garden lime "dolomite lime" in usa is good
