Static vs. Dynamic Daily Environment (i.e. Temp, RH, VDP, DLI, etc...)

I've been growing for a few years now, and (thanks to folks like you) learning lots from a variety of different forums. I enjoy tending to plants, planning set-ups, automation, and of course the final product. I use a lot of various equipment (Inkbird, AC Infinity, smart outlets, etc..) to get my environment dialed in and working for my plants. One of the things I keep wondering is whether having a dynamic Daily environment can have a beneficial impact on the plants or if they do better with consistency? In reading I've learned that different pH values impact the nutrient uptake for plants, and we all know that following VPD throughout the plants lifecycle can be beneficial, but what about giving the plants a variety of conditions during the day?

Newer equipment and apps have made dialing in and adjusting environmental factors increasingly easy. I've been playing around with modulating the light intensity during the "day" with my plants to simulate something of a natural day. In addition I've found that I am getting much better at being able to modulate the VPD throughout the "day". From a common sense standpoint I would think that doing so would allow the plant to thrive like it does in nature... But I also know that there's a big difference between the real world conditions mother nature throws at the plants and the "Ideal" conditions that really allow plants to thrive. Like how certain microclimates do wonders for certain crops or the long days at extreme latitudes grow gigantic crops.

I'm mainly growing auto's because it helps me keep my climate in check (Relegated to growing in the garage), but I'm just curious if any of you jedi masters have given this subject any thought, or can share your experiences.

I change the CCT with my light as well for sunrise and sunset, one thing I noticed on this is my humidity doesn’t spike at lights out. It’s maybe from the plants transpiring less with less light?
