Well I think grower skill has as much to do with success as "fire genetics" I've grown plants outta decent mids bagseed that was better than some others "kind bud" that they harvested 2 weeks early. If you know what you're doing you can have decent weed outta virtually any seed bank. Acting like only certain companies shit is the only thing worth smoking and all else is garbage is ridiculous. Grow what and from who you are able and give it as much passion as some do bashing ANY companies genetics and you'll probably end up with something good.if not then you learned something surely. I may not have been a member for years but even I know that this is supposed to be a place where us growers can help each other.

I'm glad there are people like thisbudsforyou101,bk78 ,and wattzzup among others that are here because they are truly interested in growing beans because they love doing it. I have learned a lot from people on this site. I have also learned there are a lot of wannabes who just want to trash others grows. As far as I'm concerned don't matter where you get your genetics if you don't know how to maximize what you got. Enuf said.

My last purchase was from ilgm 10 WW autos plus 10 free and 10 gold leaf photos. I grew 4 of the autos and 1 gold leaf. The autos were easy peezy but the quality was mid grade. The gold leaf photo gave me nothing but problems. It was stunted for a month and a half and vegged a total of 2.5 months and produced 1.5oz. Recently started another gold leaf and the exact same thing is happening so I popped another bean for verification. So far I gotta give them a 5 out of 10. They're on par with growers choice and crop king as far as banks that I've dealt with. Mediocre
odd as i got 10 GG autos, 10/10 germed....Didn't have any runt issues, I take responsibility for my end for the first 2 pants coming out under 2 oz dry.......it was def some stinky thick buds, that got people high and smiley who've been growing and developing their own outdoor strains since the late 70s..~20% thc no problem and the old timers agreed...... even with my newish to growing under led/indoor skills....each plant has netted between 1.2oz dry low end and 3oz highend...and again I attribute the weight being 1-3oz t to my figuring out things and a learning curve.... I just bought 20 bruce banner autos for 100$ over the holiday and the two I threw in the water, germed within 18-24hrs...and are currently growing in 5gals.... Dont know what to expect from the bruce banner....But the Gorilla Glue was as good as I've seen from higher quality seed banks.. Period. I agree with the notion... that the seeds are def copies..or close enough copycat genetics, IE not the exact Bruce Banner pheno... But..An amateur could cross his seeds that he sells with strawberry cough and produce excellent genetics and a bruce banner...not THE bruce banner..........I mean the Bruce Banner auto I saw a youtuber grow from ILGM looked spot on to Darkhorses shit.. and I get why he's calling everyone who is listing bruce banner as 'fake' but... I mean he sells the genetics... Of course people are going to copy it....Doesnt mean ILGM genetics are mediocre or dog shit...Just that they're a high end genetic company, But we all know there is better genetics out there.....if you know someone or have the cash. Ill take 20 ilgm seeds that makes weed thats dank, produces quality flower....and has a guarantee to replace seeds if they dont pop...... over spending much more for genetics that are nominally better, and thats not taking anything away from these guys putting in the work to make amazing seeds and making that 1% difference a special part of their brand, The top end is super competitive, and ilgm doesnt belong in that conversation......I used to look to BOG for many out door growing tips..and genetics..Still remember the first time I bought some beans that had a description listed that only said "Tooth numbing potency" lol......and I saw all the work he put into it and enjoyed it ...

Shit that was...... oh.. 20 years ago now.. or so...But I digress.....I just find it insulting to come on here crying, saying ppl are on the ilgm pay roll as if there is such a thing.....And that ilgm is the bottom of the barrel, Is that True? No. Is it Cannabis cup winning pure genetics.....? No.....But..... Dog shit? Fuck no, check your growing/bean germ skills if thats the case, because now that I've got ten or so autos under my belt... and about a year growing with ilgm genetics...I can honestly say, a touch expensive, but when you get 20 for 100$....its not bad... AND sure I guess you could get unlucky and get some bad beans.. it happens....But if everything you touch from them turns to dog shit. Its you, not them.

My experience with the product: ILGM White Widow, 2 runs of 10 from seed and 80 clones. 18 seeds popped and the clones were taken in the 3rd week of flower. Customer service asked about the germination process and didn't argue and offered me WW or GG replacements. The first run tolerated newbie errors very well and produced well. All clones took and grew plants that were ideal for SOG, less branchy, 5-9 colas with an even canopy with very little management. Fast shipping, a fair price(for very little payment and return hassles). Definitely not FIRE, but a good smoke that gets me and friends high "enough". We always enjoy and don't feel tired, sluggish, or drained afterward. Face it, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. I'm soaking 10 ILGM Runtz right now. For me, I recommend them and will buy from them again. If you feel like you got burned, contact the vendor.

Well I just started using led lights and ordering autoflower beans. I made every single newbie mistake. Overwatering, pH below 6 for weeks, 24hr lights, cal-mag issues.......yeah, and somehow I'm looking at a couple O's per plant. Just the learning has been worth it. And I popped 3 out of 3 so have 17 left. Maybe not the best genetics, but well worth my time and money.

I know some here will think that I would have been waay better off fucking up $200 worth of mephisto beans but I got a lot of the knowledge I needed with $100 from ilgm but I rather save those highly sought after beans for you folks out there who can utilize that bit of extra potential. I'll get there.

There are such great genetics out there from fantastic, real breeders. If you ever need any help finding a breeder, please don't hesitate to ask.

If you let me know what you're looking for, I can help direct you to a breeder and a reputable seedbank.

My favorite breeders are Lucky Dog, Dominion, Katsu, Top Dawg, Bodhi, can't go wrong with any of those.

Seedbanks are HeadieGardens, Speakeasy Seedbank, Seedsherenow, dcseedexchange, breedersdirectseedco, great lakes genetics.

There are way too many good options out there to deal with inferior genetics.
I know this is an old post but inform me.

Better to have knowledge than worry about strain initially my first purchased seeds came from Nirvana
Heard many negative comments since those days
But to me they were what I needed at the time
All seed banks have their fan boys and nay sayers
Some just louder than others
Good luck on your growth

Thanks, I agree with you there. I figured out most of my problems and next time I'll be better than this time. I had to go learn the hard way making rookie mistakes. I don't think anybody's genetics could have came through my abuse unscathed, but fwiw the buds still look and smell great. They still have 3weeks to go.

Hey, any of you guys mind zooming in and taking a glance at my trichomes and tell me what you see? It looks like about half of them are white, and I don't see any amber. My experience is with photos but looks like about 2-3 more weeks. That would be right with what they said. 12 weeks. Thanks in advance for your help.

Post full plant pic and a pic of a cola that you think is ready. Not many people on here use trichomes as the main indicator of ripeness (is that a word)

Scroll up and that's my girls. I don't think any are ready . What method do you use to determine "ripeness" I've always had good luck waiting till I see white with some Amber. I didn't realize this site would zoom in like it does! Its amazing the clarity

I don’t look at trichomes. If those plants are the ones you’re talking about in the pic above. You have a really long time. Stop looking at trichomes

What am I supposed to be looking for? Everything I've ever seen, heard or read has said "look at the trichomes" I'm an old dog, what method should I be using? I appreciate the help

Ripening will slow with underfed plants. You want almost all the hairs to turn brown and the calyx swollen.

Ok so judge by the hairs like I used to 20 years ago. Ok .. thanks . These plants are lucky to have made it this far with all the mistakes I made. That's why they look so bad. I'm positive next time will be a lot better. You guys have helped me out a lot. Thanks
