Stay away from vivosun!

I was trying to actually get my money back lol so I was calm and cool with them for the first 99% of us talking and emailing..up until I had to mention them seeming like they were about to do what they ultimately ended up trying to do right after lol. They also decided the brand new tent they sold me directly through them was so jacked up they didnt even want it back to see or anything, they were more concerned with putting it on me to have to throw it away lol. I cant speak for amazon stuff, people probably dont have to deal with the company directly in that regard..
You think that you having to throw the tent away is more of a hassle than packaging it all back up and taking it somewhere in order to have it shipped back to them?!? Riiiight

I had a Vivosun clip-on fan smelling like it was going to start a fire (it wasn't spinning). Saw black melted plastic. Lucky I was home.
Any fan I ever saw, online reviews have always had a few that had that happen to them. Even the fans I use now. I was timid at first to use them but saw they work fine and shrubbed it off.

Over a year old 6” hurricanes. I did read somewhere that mini fans are not meant to run 24/7 so I put them on timers if I can to avoid this.

i've ran the gamut of small, cheap tent fans. some seem to work forever, and some crap out quickly, regardless of brand it seems. i've had the best luck with the amazon basics vornado knock-offs, but they take up more space than your average clip on tent fan.

I just wanted to make a thread letting people know that I would avoid vivosun products if you can. I purchased their 4x4 kit and the tent was broken(zipper) beyond repair and the tent also had big holes all over it. After letting them know, they offered to send me a new tent and then they changed their mind and decided not to for no reason the very next day. After them telling me that I obviously sent back all of their gear for a full refund. Once they received their gear from me, they blocked my phone number, locked me out of my vivosun account, and stopped responding to my emails. (if you havent gathered yet, they tried taking off with my money). Fortunately my bank was able to reverse the charge and went after them for their money back. At that point, they were trying to give me a refund. All in all they drug this whole process out for 2 months. I have plenty of emails I could post on here for proof of their absolutely god awful customer service but im sure someone else on here has had a similar experience with them so I dont feel its necessary. They are a super shady company and if you value your sanity as well as all of your gear, STAY AWAY FROM VIVOSUN!
I had an issue, sent them an email and the next day they asked for a picture of the defect and the tag, 24 hrs later they gave me a full refund and a coupon for another product....... they've done fine by me

I don’t know why it’s not mentioned more around here but this is a small investment for an expensive tent. It won’t fix a bad zipper but will help a new or good zipper from going bad.

Or

and save yourself best part of £10/$10 lol

I’ve had a green architecture tent for aaaages never any issue. Solid frame, no light leak, zipper not probs, only issue is where the fabric/material is thick it’s noisy lol

Thanks was shopping around for a 4x4 and installed their app those prices for a near complete tent sans light were appealing and had me wondering. If anyone can suggest a reputable brand with good warranty please. I need a 4x4 would love side entry and 6 inch fan and carbon filter etc.

That sorta worked out. After the hassle & time wasted, at least you can use the extra poles as a CFM kit. Of course it would be on you to secure them, but it's worth it.

For a budget setup. I got the Opulent 4x4 tent and the updayday s7000 700w bar style led light. Both are working great.

ive been back and fourth through my mind with that exact question...i guess the "hassle" being worth it just depends on how mad/stubborn you are, i also see the value in getting it back so as a company i could see what happened and find out where in the assembly are burn holes being formed and zippers getting damaged beyond repair and not caught by quality. when i initially offered to send it back i was thinking more on that line rather than who was responsible for the trash. You do raise a good point though sir.

no, i sent them everything else back, They wanted it. So just the tent im stuck with, but im sure the extra tent material will come in handy at some point or another so there is a small a plus side to this.

mars hydro is another one, sheisty. my BESTVA china made lights reign supreme, would would have thought..
I’m got a pair of Bestva 2000W veg/bloom, they’re 5 years old and still humming along. They grew a lot of good pot. Now I have a big HLG, and you won’t find better customer service. But I still use the Bestvas as supplemental light. My tent is also 5 years old, an Apollo 6.5x6.5x7. Zippers are still fine, NO light leaks, you get what you pay for.

I have the 2000w Pro, at 160$ shipped for each - and in a closet with no ventilation aside from the cracks around the doors and a fan blowing at the drivers - you cant get a better deal.. I'm surprised more people aren't using them.

Yes, 285 true watts for that price is a deal. The veg/grow was kinda 2nd gen, one step up from straight burples. Say what you want, but those semi burples grew fine plants.

Yours must not be the pro 2000w. They're certainly not semi-blurple. I previously used the BESTVA 4000, a complete blurple that grew a Romulan pretty nicely but wouldn't do anything for my other plants.

I am interested in your HLG, do they make those lights for a 2 x 5 setup, and without getting hot? I'm noticing the only downside to my grow is yield. I don't know if another LED will fix the issue, I pretty much have all my other bases covered. The thing is - I see lots of pics on here of various LED grow lights that don't look any more powerful than mine. Maybe just larger footprint. I was talking to dr greenthumb the other day and he pulls 1-4 pounds dry weight for each plant under checkerboard HPS 1000w. I used to run those lights and not harvest that much, but I certainly did better than I am with these BESTVA LEDs.

It's weird because the trade off is I get to be a lazy bastard and not have to deal with ventilation. I'm in an apartment so not going to cut holes in walls. I am going to move soon, maybe into a a house - and I'm going to go back to HPS unless I can find an LED light that will increase yield... any advice is always appreciated!
