Stealth Air conditioner setup

So i was just looking on my facebook page and i stumbled across an interesting video

It was pretty much an air conditioner made from a 5 gal bucket, insulation, pvc, and fan. all you have to do is add something frozen every couple hours, or use dry ice. This guy even has it set up on a solar panel so it doesn't require any additional power.
So now my question is has anyone used something similar to this for those really hot days in the summer. Right now i have a 2x4 tent and it's winter lol so this isn't needed but i figured it might help someone out with a heat problem

Read up on swamp coolers.

Only good if humidity is low where you live.

That is really cool, useless for me but still very cool.

Like snaps said,it's more of a swamp cooler instead of a/c and will add humidity.

A real air conditioner not only cools the air,but does it efficiently by also doubling as a dehumidifier.

That's basically what we call a chiller. Uses cooled fluid thru coil with fan. Much better than a swamper as it doesn't add humidity.
