OK, so a couple days ago I took a trip to my local grow shop and bought some (said in a really epic and deep voice) LIGHTNING 97%, just got finished coating the inside of the Armoire and if i may say so myself, it's looking pretty damn good!!!

just about done, all i need to do now is order the lights, I think two 200w (actual wattage) lights should do the trick. :)

Ultra clean job! That Lightning looks awesome and no light leaks, wow :hump:

Thinking out loud here.... It appears your getting your fresh air from under the box, which is where, as I understand, the exhaust is dumped as well. A couple of 200watt cfls are going to get plenty warm, as I'm sure you know. I'm thinking you MIGHT run into a cooling issue with the intake and exhaust being in close proximity.

I wonder, is there some stealth way to pull some hot air out of the very top of the box? For instance, cut a hole in the top and install a small fan then cover the fan with a gutted dvd player or a old tv? You know, just anything to pull some of the heat out and block light/sound in the process. Just something to ponder. Hopefully heat :fire:won't be an ass kicker for you.

yeah, i was thinking the same thing would happen, since as you said they're so close. but then i came up with a couple ideas. I'm basically going to take an extra piece of pvc about 4" maybe and attach it to a 90 degree pvc elbow to angle it in the opposite direction of the exaust so that way it's getting cool air coming in regardless, or even just sectioning them off at the base by having one go out the back and one go out the front.yeah, had to come up with a solution to that problem, mostly cuz i decided that "staging" was not allowed with this gromoire. thanks for the other options though Mr. casus much appreciated :)
