Stealth box from old TV?

So, I took an old tv (1' tall and three wide), gutted it and sealed from light getting in or out. i did leave a circular area about 4 inches in diameter open so i can hook up some small ducts and vents. I plan on using four CFL's, three domputer fans, two ducts too hook up with the fans and carbon filters. I plan on using either SCROG or LST because I'm in such a small space. How good of an idea is this?

I think you're gona have problems.... However ive seen someone attempt to make a grow box out of his dominoes pizza box + coke cans so i guess a TV could be possible.... CFL's put out a surprising amount of heat as i discovered a couple days ago with a 125W one...

My advice is if you grow do it properly, even if its stealth. I don't know how feasible it would be for you to design and make you're own cab but that would be my advice. You also want something thats rectangular in shape..

I was just thinking about this, IMO you could do it on the same principles as the pc-cases, but with more horizontal room. 1' Still sounds really shallow, maybe its possible with LST/ScroG and some tricky placement of everything (so that plants have atleast 6-8" to grow vertically as well) ie. lights in corners, etc... I'd honestly say its more hassle than its worth. You should try getting a pair of BIG speakers real cheap online, ones sum1's throwin away, then make a cab outta that shell.

i am growing in an old projection screen tvs and it is working great but it is like 4 foot by 3 but 1 foot is a litle short

1 foot isnt even enough for the pot to put it in.I suppose if you put the tv on a stand and cut a hole through the bottom that might work honestly your better off finding a cardboard box. another cool covert grow would be to hollow out a bed+ box spring + bedstand=2-3feet and a lot of out way you could bend them too so they grew width wise the bed. or look for some file-cabinets they are metal semi spacious and certainly tall enough go raid some abandoned buildings and get creative

Or an old dresser closet type thing with the face still looking like a dresser but have a board behind it to block out light coming out the dresser doors and have a door in the back to access.

When I still lived at home I had thought of doing that do one of my draw dressers. Just cutting the front faces of the draws with the handles on still and glueing them to the frame and have a door in the back as well as exhaust vent. Underneath you could take make an inlet for air intake. So air sucks in from bottom goes out up top to ensure fresh air circulation
