very possibly yes but one major key to perfecting your grow room is TESTING IT before putting plants in.

You could test all the concerns you have. Personally i wouldnt choose to exhaust through a window if you want it to be semi stealth.

yer i know i dont want to but theres 3 options through ceiling, window or a little glass window above door ( i can remove class place wooden board across and place a vent over hole ) but this option will be annoying as the door is on other side of room

. i got to drill a little hole in ceiling and see whats above cause beleive it or not our attic is board off and noone has ever been up there so its like a mystery up there

Ok here is what im thinking, ill have the ducting Attached to fast clamps so when ever needed i can quickly unclamp and hide LOL. I would have this ducting up all the time unless someone was to come in my room ill quickly take down (reason for fast clamps), i will then remove the glass window and place a nice fresh painted bit of plyboard painted white to match my door and place a vent on the outside to look nice a stealth/neat. This way the fresh air is being push out the room plus keeps the upstairs and house warm in process.

What you think jord a nice idea?

Like i said noone comes in my room and if they do it would look completely stealth as ill unclamp and hide the ducting leaving a nice piece of furniture which woudl draw no suspicion.

it might work. Bare in mind that there would be considerable air movement coming through your exhaust along with heat and quite possibly light!

What do you mean? If you mean by there will be heat, light, air movement coming through the vent then i understand that shouldn't be a problem

its the only way i can think of venting it out the room as i dont know tbh if there is much of a attic lol never seen or through this little hole

but u think that will work tho?

Also should i get a y splitter and attach the 2 ducting from the carbon filter and hood and then attach 1 piece of ducting to the y splitter so then both fans are exhausting out room or you think i could get away with just the hood being exhausted?

I think you could get away with just the hood being exhausted FOR NOW. As i previously mentioned about summer growing. We may only have a few weeks of sun but it plays havoc with your grow.

I have an RVK125A1 (260m3/h) for winter running and an RVK150L1 (660m3/h) for summer running. IN a few weeks i plan on setting up the RVK150 as a sealed lighting system on a Fan Speed controller and the RVK125 as the Carbon filter exhaust just like i have told you to setup yours. The only difference is that my 150 will be ducted straight into the chimney stack in the attic and the 125 will be exhausted straight into the attic.

I dont recommend using a Y splitter to do both as you are limiting the amount of air that can travel down that split causing a bottle neck which will cause your fans to run less efficiently.

Only thing pondering my mind now is the scrog setup when someone said it would be akward getting around and looking after the plants as there will be no access to the plants at the back. I want o use a method for maximizing so do i carry on with Scrog? or do i go with some LST or do i attempt some topping to acquire 4 main colas from each plant?

Didnt really think the access to back plants through when i thought of going with scrog

You could still do a Scrog but position your few plants at the front and train them towards the back!

Or you could grow a single plant in there for now and clone it multiple times and do SOG style grow. Many small single cola plants.

Personally i have a mother/clone area too which i built for housing my mothers and my clones and i am currently testing sizes of plants in my flowering closet under 600w HPS to see what kind of yield i get for a perticular size of plant.

I currently have 2x2ft 2x1ft and 5x8inch clones running the closet to see whether i grow a few larger plants or more smaller ones.

So jonda this is the new plan except ill either attempth the scrog or ill go for slight LST then Top for 4 main colas

Ill definitely vent the 6" for hood outside the room im growing in to start with, if tempts to exceed a little ill vent both 5" nd 6" outisde the room

I also have got pictures of my newely build cabinet, so gunna start pimping it out inside this payday

Should this now be enough venting for a 600W you reckon?

1 minor adjustment lol.

oscilating fan between lamp and plants. other than that CHAMPION!

if you are going to top and lst then allow your plant to get 6nodes and use uncle bens topping technique, then when your 4mains grow then LST each main. Helps keep everything even.

Sweet

ventilation costs alot more than what i wanted to but if it makes a 600w MH/HPS run nicely in that space then i should get some real nice buds

. Where would you put the oscilating fan? i read somewhere its good to have a nice air movement in the growroom helps stengthen stems and helps a little with humidity a little. Not saying i read right but i read it somewhere.

i tell people that at first when plants are small you should bounce the air from a side wall which should make them "dance" a little . Then as the stem develops just make sure you are moving the air between the canopy of your plants and your light. i dont really suffer with humidity and my inline keeps the air fresh by negative pressure. i use a single 7inch clip on fan that i position to blow across my whole canopy between the plants and light .

if you look at the closet pic i posted of my forest the fan is clipped to a shelf just inside to the left of the door and the tops of my plants "dance" a little with the wind.

How noisey you think that 5" and 6" fan going to be together if i use acoustic ducting?

I hate to sack your dreams of being all stealthy with your fast clamps BUT those fans are going to be pretty noisy, brother! I've done a ton to quiet mine as much as possible, still you can hear some kind of fan humming behind the door to my downstairs bedroom... Luckily, I can keep my guests away from that side of my living room so it's quiet enough for me.

And if you were to kill the exhaust fans when unclamping for guests, the stank will out you in moments (stealth kill, take two).

But I'm pulling for you!
