Stealth Suitcase Grow

Just an old trolly style suitcase and it is very simple to convert it into a micro grow room

All you need is

  • foil blanket (ebay)
  • 65 watt 2700k CFL (ebay again)

Glue a piece of wood to the side of the suitcase to mount your bulb holder, sellotape the foil blanket to the walls, and start growing :)

Water every 10 days for first 30 days, and very low doses of nutes. This will keep plants small in veg phase, then water and feed as normal after that.

I used ordinary potting soil, and my nutes are bio grow and bio bloom

I used flowering lights from seed and have lights on 24/0-plants seems to love it.They have just gone into into flowering at the end of week 3.

Yeah it works :) plants are extremely healthy

plants cant grow too tall as they are in 4 inches of soil, only receive water every 10 days, and minimal nutes-for the first 30 days

So most plants double or triple in flower-so I reckon I will have 12 to 14 inch tall plants-maximum

If people grow in computer cases, this rolling suitcase has more than enough space to get something decent. Nice work, very stealthy.. Til people start wondering what that dank smell coming from the suitcase is :joint:

Dude these plants love flowering lights from seed,I have never had a plant show their sex as quick (16 days) and started to flower by the end of week 3.

The strain is a sativa dominant (im praying it is) autoflower called Royal Haze Automatic-gorgeous plant to grow, and claims of 22% thc with a predominantly haze cereberal high :)

I hear ya man

This is my Vicks cheapo air filter-suspended like this it is extremely quiet, and will clean a room with 4 plants-no problem

It has a carbon and hepa filter-just needs to be changed every 3 to 4 months (as soon as charcoal is done it will stop cleaning ganja smell immediately)

But this has been a very low odour strain-so far

When you zip the suitcase up does it not get airtight? I would love to try this but I'm worried about how to get the lights in and air in. For some reason I can't look at any of your pictures. Can you pm me or reply on here with lots of details? I'm super interested

I totaly understand your concern. The air temperature in my house is at 19 C,and the plants in the suitcase are not in the least bit suffering from excessive heat.I dont know whats causing your inability to view the images here.Does anyone else have the same issue?,which device are you using to view the site? If you are still unable to view images,Ill see what I can do for you.

The closet space you have it in would work so much better then the bag lol.. are your plants getting any air?
Plants are completely healthy :) .They receive fresh air when I open the case to visit them.

I have grown in closets, and the bag is better,I can move that to any location, and I pick up my grow room by its handle and go-couldnt be easier.

I also get a kick out of the forces at work in a floor space of less than one square foot, and an overall area of 2 cubic feet, that I can get 3 lanky sativa babies to not grow to 2 or 3 foot tall.I have around 80 watts per square foot, over 5000 lumens per square foot, and a miniscule electricity bill.

Looking at the pics of this Mini-Cab makes me smile :) its perfect for some percy and is really stealth...I like the way that if you needed to leave for whatever reason (so long as your careful) you can just carry it away and no-one would be any the wiser. Wouldn't attempt going through Customs with it though :) lmao :) :)

Good work though....Does it have a passive intake/CPU out-take ? - ZTELTHY :leaf:

I live beside a police station, and have a landlord who likes surprise inspections-trust me I love my suitcase grow room.

Would I take my grow room on a bus or train? Yeah HAHA,I have done crazier shit. But say for instance the grow can be shared between friends,or in different houses-so many options

I dont use any air intake or exhaust system

Another good thing to have is a remote socket-check out energenie on ebay-its peace of mind that I can shut down the grow from another room.

By the way im a patheological liar All I had to do was switch from mobile site to full site to see pictures. Well I found out my new flowering room :) I have a seedling started but had no idea where I was going to flower it because I had no light sealed areas that were the right size! I will post pics of my grow when it's done because of paranoia ;) think I could fit more cfl's in there without a heat problem? I think my suitcase might be a little larger anyway.

If you have a larger suitcase dude, even a 70 to 90 litre job,the floor space in their is still not massively over a square foot,so a 65 watt or 85 watt will be fine.I wouldnt go any bigger- firstly the 85 watt is a foot long, plus connector and a little clearance-so you need a width of 16 inches minimum for the 85 watt, whereas the 65 only requires 1 foot 2 inches. You will grow nice bud with either of those 2 bulbs.

Flowering lights are also not as hot as veg lights, and a 65 watter from someone like green lamp on ebay, will not be any hotter than a 23 watt tesco flowering bulb.

I would go with the 85 myself if the suitcase is more than 16 inches wide :)

Lets see your pics :) come on get your girls out for the guys haha

These plants are lookin pretty healthy to me-day 23 and in their flowering stretch

You see the light leak through the zip?,and where I leave the zipped pocket open?-I am fairly certain that heat is being conducted out through the material of the suitcase, and with the pocket open,it only has to conduct through one layer of material as opposed to two.And with the zipped area,I would hazard a guess that the air in that suitcase is being circulated at least once every few minutes.I point the zip to shine behind something in my closet and this creates a light trap

I didn't mean a higher wattage bulb, I meant could I run more, lower wattage bulbs? And my setup is extremely pathetic at the moment and I am only growing bagseeds to get my feet wet so im sure I'll be mauled to death by trolls if I post now. Haha
