Stem broke at l8 flowering

Hello all

I have 10 sensi seeds shiva skunk that are at 44 days 12/12 (they started flowering 10 days into 12/12, sensi recommends 45-55 days flowering) and today I had an accident with one of them. I droped something on it and one of the stems was half ripped off at its very base where it meets the main stem :wall:. I have helped it stay in place so that the break is not noticable.
However, how is that going to affect the stem or the whole plant? Will it stop fattening up, or maturing? Or will it mature faster? Can it heal itself so l8 in flowering? Should I just cut it and smoke it?

It's pistils are only 20% brown and it's trichs are 60-40 crystal-white.

I'm totally gutted, any advice or comment is welcome.

p.s. The broken stem has some seriously big buds on it, so you can understand how I feel about it right now. If that accident affects the final yield of the whole plant and not just the stem's then it's a proper tragedy for me, since it's one of the best plants I've ever grown so far

if the stem only bent, and is not actually detached...you'll be fine, just stake her up....she'll grow a knot where she was bent and the stem will be stronger at the bend spot.

man it's just a mistake don't worry, I do hope it's not the main stem. BUT, I've seen someone actually brake (well partially broke) their main stem from the half of the plant. if you manage to hold it in the same position (try some duct tape) it will most likely heal.

One thing to remember is that you have caused it a little stress now and it will slow growth for a couple of weeks or so... Peace

It wasn't what you would call a bent, it was more like it's base was ripped from the inside of the main stem, but only half of it (thickness-wise), imagine a tooth being taken out.

It wasn't the main stem, although since it's a toped-LST'ed plant there isn't actually a main stem.

A couple of weeks is all that's left before I harvest, so I guess I'm bound to lose yield from it. And to think that this strain packs most of its weight in the final 2-3 weeks, the loss is even bigger. That's such a shame, I'm going to my room to cry now..........

ah I see... you might wanna vote in my Poll Topping vs LST vs Natural :) Anyway, if it didn't totally brake then you can fix it. I was serious about the tape :)
