Stem broke in attempt to do last minute grow bend to avoid ceiling...

Someone mentioned as my plant was growing too tall that I should attempt an LST grow using string to bend it 90 degrees. As i did this, and as i was worried would happen, the stem snapped. I'm also inexperienced in this type of procedure. It is in about third week of flowering, the break is only at the top 4 inches of a two foot plant. I'm wondering how will this effect the growth of the plant? thank you

no worries

it'll be fine and grow back stronger
if your flowers have already begun to bloom, they'll turn at a funny angle, but swell to magnificence no matter how hatd you try and kill them

Hell ya.. go to Home Depot and get some of those padded wire bendy things.. they are great to LST or help repair crap like this for support. I did same to my super skunk right now and that cola is the biggest of the ones I topped. They are more resilient then we think.

LST is something that you should do in vegging, but when you need to you can do it in flowering. Vegging plants are much more bendy than flowering plants. When you LST you don't have to bend it 90 degrees all at once, bend it as far as the plant will go then wait till the next day to tighten it a little more.
