Stem size problem!

okay soo, my 2 seedlings are only a few days old, they are grown under 7 23w cfls they look healthy and i have the first set of leaves growing, however the stems are still very short, about 1 inch if that.. I see other peoples plants and the stems are a good 5 inches tall, and im not sure what im doing anything wrong or if im being paranoid, and info will help! thank you

Not exactly an expert but...

Girls grow towards the light, if the light is well within proper range to receive sufficient lumens, it will invest more of its energy into leaf growth, and not stem growth.

You should be fine so long as the leafs are growing at their appropriate rate.

Short Stem = Strong Stems. Short, Dense strong plants come from seedlings with short dense stems.
