Alright so I work at a gas station in scottsdale AZ and where selling these shamrock papers for a dollar for muscular dystrophy and scottsdale is a VERY rich part of town. The thing that has made me angry is that these rich people (old and young) pull out wads of hundred dollar bills looking for something smaller when there buying something and wont even donate a dollar and I see so many people who are less off financially (rich peoples landsapers and such) who spend there last bit of change on the shamrocks to help someone they'll never know or meet. It really bothers me to see so many people with money not even willing to help out with a dollar and I REALLY mean they have WADS of hundreds and other folks who have pretty much nothing helping out. it really bothers me that people wont help out when they have more then enough to give away $1 but I guess those are the people that wont feed you when you havent eaten in days and just want an apple or somethin it just gets to me that the rich dont help but the poor will share there last bit its REALLY sad!

Yeah, I used to help my mom with this "box project" where we'd like a box every month or so of clothes, school shit, hygiene products, and stuff like that to this family in like the boondocks of Mississippi. We were never too well off, but still found enough time and money to help out the less fortunate.

Not all rich people are like that in my opinion, but sadly alot are. Charities are exactly that, charities. Nobody HAS to donate, but it's the people that know what it's like to struggle that are going to donate more in my opinion.

Maybe the gas station you work at just has horrible, douche bag, cold hearted rich customers?
