Stinkbud's veg system - can I cut roots?

I'm using the stinkbud veg system, (2) 18 gallons rubbermaids on top of eachother with LP aero. Bottom 18 gal is water res, hold in for piping + drain, ez clone sprayers in top rubbermaid.

One of my clones has a long root hanging all the way down to 2nd Rubbermaid, and hanging in the water.
Should I...
Cut the root or somehow fold it into the net pot so it's half length?

Just fold it up; your plant paid for the roots already and that's what makes the leaves. I have the same setup and the same problem. You just don't want the roots going into the pump intake. I put a piece of panty hose on my intake and kept it with a rubber band.

As long as the roots are not getting in pump, are they ok in the water?
If so, should I add airstones or h2o2 to the water or something or fine as is?

pick it up every couple days until it tangles in itself.
No need for air stone really as long as most of them are out of the water, at least 1/3 of the roots need to get oxygen. Air stone def will not hurt tho.

ive had them tangle up n have to literally rip them out to free them with no visible damage, these plants are very resiliant. i now pick each plant out completly every other day or so n they no longer tangle up, good luck n dont worry they will be fine

Last time I had to pull one through the hole the wrong way since it was attached by the roots to another plant. They survived and are flowering right now, but was not fun.

i have the same set up once i see roots growing down the pvc pipe going to the pump i cut off the roots it does no damage at all to the plant also when i transplant from veg unit to bud unit i cut roots off each plant and then place them in the rails been doing for coiple years with no problems

You can cut the roots with no problems what so ever. You can also let them grow but if the roots get too long they could clog the pump.

Use a pump filter bag ($10) or women's nylons over your pump to keep the roots and large debris out. I recommend filter bags anyway just because they help keep the sprayers clean. Hope this helps.
