Stock Discussion

Can I just buy stock from the company or do I have to have an account somewhere? Like etrade or scottrade? Can I just call a company and order a few stocks and have them mail me stock certificates? how do I go about this? Is this a good way to start instead of having to have a minimum to open an account? What are the benifits or both different ways of doing it?

You'll need to go through a brokerage house like etrade or scottrade. Options House has a low trading fee that will help if you are only going to be trading small volumes.

Its first example is Microsoft, which returned 35,000%. Yet people won't believe 800%.

Of course 800% is possible, its just incredibly difficult to receive those returns over any sustainable period of time. When the managers of billion dollar hedge funds are happy if they outperform the market, your average home investor getting returns of 800% is more than impressive.

Peace out x
