Stoned Grasshopper

Found this big green grasshopper sitting on one of my leaves today. I wasn't sure if he would be harmful so I left him alone for about five minutes. When I came back and shooed him away, he had already sawn the leaf in half. These little buggers have quite an appetite. Hope there aren't too many of these in the garden.

I have thousands of then at my house they fuck shit up, and I have no clue what to do about them except putting chicken wire up

get some praying mantis in the garden very early, they will feast on the grasshoppers when they are young. a bit late in the year for that now, once the grasshoppers reach a certain stage, even chemical pesticides barely touch them.
