Just a shoot off the side about 3-5 inches tall'ish, chop off the leaves from the bottom of the cutting, so you have about an inch or 2 of basically bare stem. Try to put the stem a good inch or so in the dirt or whatever so there's the maximum potential for root growth.
Cloning from a flowering plant is basically not worth it, they take up to 4 weeks just to show roots (and even then they die) from what I've found, oh and you want to keep misting them at least twice a day with plain ol' water 'cause that's the only way they get food 'til they root, and keep the medium moist.
