I am a life member of the NRA.. My guns will never jump out of my safe and shoot someone on their own.. They are only dangerous in the hands of an idiot.. These idiots would do what they would do even if they did not have a gun.. The gun is just a tool they use.. I carry a gun in my pocket every where i go.. So does my wife. I tell you that I would much rather have my wife come home and tell me why she shot some dirt bag to death than to have the police knock on my door and tell me how she was raped and strangled with her own pantyhose... Don't take my gun rights away just because you can not control your children.. My 16 year old son went duck hunting this morning with 2 other kids his age and guess what they did not rob shoot at or do anything they were not suppose to they are responsible kids!! your know why? BECAUSE I RAISED THEM THAT WAY>>SIMPLE

Sadly, liberals don't trust the average law abiding citizen..... that speaks volumes about their policies over all.

The first thing Hitler did before he cooked a bunch of Jews is take away their guns, stood up on a podium and professed how the streets would be safer and the police more efficient now that they had complete control... I bet things would of been different if they had kept their guns? An armed society is a polite society... PEACE

Last Thursday Night Around Midnight, A Woman From Houston , Texas Was Arrested, Jailed, And Charged With Manslaughter For Shooting A Man 6 Times In The Back As He Was Running Away With Her Purse.

The Following Monday Morning, The Woman Was Called In Front Of The Arraignment Judge, Sworn In, And Asked To Explain Her Actions.

The Woman Replied, "I Was Standing At The Corner Bus Stop For About 15 Minutes, Waiting For The Bus To Take Me Home After Work.

I Am A Waitress At A Local Cafe. I Was There Alone, So I Had My Right Hand On My Pistol, That Was In My Purse, That Was Hung Over My
Left Shoulder.

All Of A Sudden I Was Being Spun Around Hard To My Left.

As I Caught My Balance, I Saw A Man Running Away From Me With My Purse.

I Looked Down At My Right Hand And I Saw That My Fingers Were Wrapped Tightly Around My Pistol.

The Next Thing I Remember Is Saying Out Loud, "No Way Punk! Your Not Stealing My Pay Check And Tips."

I Raised My Right Hand, Pointed My Pistol At The Man Running Away From Me
With My Purse, And Squeezed The Trigger Of My Pistol 6 Times!

When Asked By The Arraignment Judge, "Why Did You Shoot The Man 6 Times?

The Woman Replied Under Oath, "Because, When I Pulled The Trigger Of My Pistol The 7th Time, It Only Went Click."

The Woman Was Acquitted Of All Charges.

And She Was Back At Work, At The Cafe, The Next Day!

No, its ridiculous...:wall:

the intention of the second amendment was to provide the means to form a militia. at the time the u.s. government could not afford to form a military let alone arm one. it was never intended for your average citizen to be carrying around firearms for personal defense during times of peace. did that thief deserve to die for stealing that woman's handbag?

" the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"

do your best to twist this around and tell me im not allowed to own a gun?

if your going to make a disagreeing statement... its common knowledge your argument has to at least make sense...

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

you missed a bit there.

keep in mind that it was written at the birth of the nation when our only means of defense was a militia. you can talk till your blue in the face, the intent of the 2nd amendment was to provide the means to defend the country without the cost of creating an army. we no longer have a need for a militia.

the purpose of our right to bear arms is to protect us from the government..

militias are still very necessary, and you still just said my qoute

the right... for the people... to keep and bear arms... shall not be infringed

once you outlaw guns, only outlaws have guns

both criminals on the streets, as well as criminals in government can just have their way with you...

there you go, invalidated your own argument

we have an inalienable right to self defense, as well as the right to keep and bear arms, milita or no militia

fucking shit even says right there that the people have a right to bear arms to keep the security of a free state

and your missing a a crucial aspect of the second amendment, it's intent (militia).

was the woman who's handbag was stolen forming a militia at the bus stop? no!
is a man now dead who did not deserve to die? yes!

laws and constitutions are open to interpretation (which is why our constitution has lasted) and intent is everything.

there can be no justice where law has become dogma.

Completely untrue. The U.S. Army was established in 1775 and was never deactivated.
it was never intended for your average citizen to be carrying around firearms for personal defense during times of peace
Poppycock. What do you think a militia is composed of? Armed individuals.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. - 2nd Amendment
The National Guard is not militia. Each National Guard is a auxiliary component of the Army administered by each individual state.
did that thief deserve to die for stealing that woman's handbag?
That story was a joke, but to answer your question - crime is a risky business.

Criminals should be forced to ask themselves, "Armed citizen or victim?"
