ive have seen alot of people say they grow random mixed seeds just thrown in a bag and picked out and germinated.
well to my good thinking heres some good things to know before you mix your seeds next time you get good regs. ok whenever you buy bud, if its not dro, midz, or anything high grade it will probably have seeds. alot of people either throw them away or put them in a bag of seeds.
one thing i should tell everyone is comon sense, pot thats not high grade and bought in the black market has been handled alot. its probably lost alot of thc from touching and packaging so when you get it, it doesnt smoke good, or is a short high.
so what im saying is that, when you get a good batch of reggie, even though it has a lot of seeds and short high, if it was grown properly without males and the handeling it would be a really good plant.
That brings me to my next point. most regs is grown outdoors. when growers/sellers plant their fields, they throw/ plant seeds and germinate them in large quantities. that is because alot of those seeds will be males and they need alot of females. with a large quantity they can still have a big harvest of females. well the thing that sucks about that is they cant catch all of the males and they end up pollinating females, and therefor the reggie has seeds.
This is my smart thinking coming into play.
NOT all of those females that have been pollinated were pollinated by a male. some were pollinated by another female that was pollinated by a male and thus contracted pollensacks. those pollen sacks opened and pollinated the other females.
The point is
DO YOU KNOW HOW FEMINIZED SEEDS ARE FORMED?
by either a female plant grown from seed and due to stress has turned into a hermie that then pollinates a female(which that female would then have feminized seeds) or a male that has pollinated a female and it turns the female into a hermie and then the hermie pollinates a female(which that female would then have feminized seeds).
the reason im bringing that up is because with all the bud and seeds grown outdoors, there is alot of hermies out there. there is alot of stress induced hermies and also females pollinated by pollinated females. which is like i said before are both feminized seed producing.
So the overall point of this post is to inform people of a simple mistake they have been making for ever and if they have patience they can find a sucessful all female batch of seeds and it could possible be a very good strain.
So my last few words are wrapping up the main point.
DO NOT MIX YOUR SEEDS ALL IN ONE BAG!!KEEP THEM SEPERATE!!!
that being because you could have a batch of feminized seeds and you dont want to mix them.
good luck with the growing
