Storing for freshness

Hello all
I only do what I do for personal use. If I want to put a few ounces away that would otherwise just be sitting there. What is the best way to keep them fresh for a few months.
Thanks

I let them dry (hanging or buds in trays) for a few days in the dark. As cool as possible under about 60% humidity.
Then, after drying, I put them in mason jars and put them in the basement (in a safe). I check the jars for a couple weeks to make sure they are "breathing" so moisture from the bud centers can work its way out..................

How dry? I just go by feel but you can use humidity gauges (hygrometer) and moisture control bags if it works better......................

In those jars in a cool, dark basement I can keep them for at least a year and they still smoke wonderfully
