mccabe's firing is a vindictive political stunt. mccabe was set to retire in 2 days anyway. they fired him in an attempt to discredit him as a witness against trump (mccabe was one of the witnesses to the comey memos proving obstruction of justice)
he was fired by jeff sessions, who perjured himself a dozen times under oath, for "lack of candor under oath". this was as much a loyalty test for sessions as anything else.
trump is in trouble and this will not fix it.
