Strain for poker?

Hi guys,

please advise, which strain can help you when playing poker.
It needs to have creative, focused effects ... some energy for tough thinking - clear head?

Most people use beer for that purpose, but I'd suggest sobriety.

Definately a sativa, no indica's as they are more of a 'fuck you, you will not do what you want' kind of stone, where a sativa is more of an uplifting high that gives you an energy lift and IMO a more creative thinking approach but the weed will not make you play poker better, learning your opponents and the game better will make you play better. Dude if you're using real money, don't smoke a bunch while playing poker lol. Not sure about everyone else, but I start to not give a fuck about things after a bit of smoking. Regardless of indica/sativa whichever strain. In the end it's weed.

PS: I know I won't play better with it ... but we smoke quite a lot during tourney series and would like to have a nice time playing - easy to concentrate, be creative, energized ...

I do everything better high, smarter too.. specific strains though I have no idea, I grow landrace sativas... I hear a lot of good thing about pineapple express and c99. Both are fast finishers and give a nice uplifting sativa high even though they are pretty indica...but I personally would go with a Columbian sativa.

It depends on strain for me, there's def some strains (sativas included) that make me stupid as all get. Although Pineapple Express is a good one though.

hey bozick. i play a couple tournies a week and always am blazed for them.
i think all weed make me focus a lil better. just need to tune out the rest of the shit.

super lemon haze is my favorite sativa... a lot of people recommend sannies jack.

Again, if real money is on the line, I'd think the less intoxication, the better.

But if this is more penny-ante/for fun, and the goal is to be smoking THROUGH the tourney, you'll want something low potency. Otherwise you'll quickly find yourself incapacitated and totally unable to play. (Maybe that's the goal, but the way you posted, it sounds like it isn't).

Any indica is out, because you'll be stupefied/couchlocked.

So I think what you want is a lower potency pure sativa landrace. The goal is to get great flavor, nice up high, but be weak enough that you can puff on it for a while without being "destroyed". Columbian could work, I guess, if you have access to that. I'm thinking something like a Thai or even a nice private grow of one of the Mexican commercial "schwagg" lines for something not overwhelmingly potent.
