Strain Info?

Hey all,

I've currently got two plants going that are mutts from, apparently, somewhat-Colorado-unique strains: (1) Bruce Banner (Strawberry Diesel x OG Kush), and (2) Darth Maul ("a unique cut of OG"). Both seeds are from bags bought from Mile High Green Cross, with unknown father(s). Anyway, I've done some research on both, and it looks like the Bruce Banner might be a Colorado-bred strain, while the Darth Maul doesn't return much info at all.

My question is, does anyone have any idea what to expect from either of these? The Darth Maul mutt is female, about a week into flower. The Bruce Banner just broke the surface a couple days ago, but is happy and healthy. I'll be popping another seed soon, but have many options, so I'd love to know more about these two in particular if anyone knows anything.

The bruce could be good, although cross breeds w that strain (unless a strawberry or a diesel) tend to be negligible. As far as the darth maul first id change the name as soon as possible. Who ever named their strain after any of the characters from anyone of those atrocities known as (and i use these names very very loosely) 'starwars i, ii, or iii' is a complete dooshbag. Might as well call it the jar jar binks. Or the george lucas. Equally shitty names. As far on strain info... I've no info on that and is most likely just renamed as well by someone who wanted to have a starwars strain to keep up with hype. Not to say that some of the strains w those names arent good, some are, but you know how people are. On a side note, jj abrahams (just did the new startrek) is in charge of the next starwars movie, thank god someone had the clairity not to let georgie get his stupid pointy little hands on this film. Lol! I've got to give George Lucas some respect, though: Star Wars is about the only scifi I can watch. But (and I don't think anyone will disagree), Jar Jar Binks should have suffered a gruesome fate. Torn apart by Chewbaca, perhaps?

By the way, what do you mean by the crosses with the strawberry or diesel being negligible? I've got a boatload of these Bruce Banner mutt seeds, so I'm likely to grow some more out soon, but don't want to waste the time if the mixes are stupid.

No way dude. Death to lucas. Ok he was a medium for the story, but the saga was an ethereal part of the universe and had to be scribed by someone. And not a even a 1000 year death by slow digestion in the belly of the sarlac would be good enough for jar jar or georgie for that matter. Now on to the important stuff. What I meant was that in my own experience the banner crosses loose their depth of flavor when they get crossed to something else out of the strawberries or diesels. It they were crossed to say kk's strawberry cough or 303's bio-diesel, I think you would have a real winner. But like affie nope, hogsbreath nope, not even grapes like gdp did the strain any favors. Buuuut might as well grow a few out since you have em, never kno. And thays just my experiene too... AND your god damn right I'm a starwars nerd chewy. That's why I call u chewy!!! Ggggggrrrrrrrrhhhhh!!!

Oh, and for the record I was seven in 1977 when Star Wars first came out and I was in awe of that movie. I remember when Mrs. Reidner my 2nd grade teacher put my Darth Vader action figure in the June box, I'm still pissed about that.

Chef, thanks too for the info and thoughts on the strawberry/diesel. I'm not sure what it's crossed with, but (if it's female) I'll make sure to post a smoke report!

I did some reading on the OG Kush growing profile, and now I wish I'd have read it earlier! Apparently, they tend to only produce a few grams unless trained, etc., and I've just let the one grow free! Oh well, the little cola's about an inch and a half tall and starting to fatten up a bit!



But, hoping to finish my little veg box this weekend, I popped another one that I'm hoping I can train up for a bit before flowering.



As for the Bruce Banner (lovingly dubbed "BB" by my daughter), it's a tiny plant! The first three-pronged leaves are seriously about the size of my thumb nail! But, today I decided to give supercropping a try! I'm nervous, but hoping it goes well.

Just a quick update on the plants in question:

First, the Bruce Banner, was today confirmed to be female!!!



Next, the Darth Maul is almost 4 weeks into flowering, and starting to fatten up!



Oh, and I started another Darth Maul seedling, btw, which is looking just fine.

Just another quick update on the first grows of these mutt seeds.

Darth Maul mutt:



Got a nice, fat cola, and starting to get really peppery-smelling! Should be good smoke eventually, but still has a few weeks to go.

Bruce Banner mutt:



She's still a tiny girl, and that's after the stretch! Since she's so small, I'm giving her a go in a 2L bottle (obviously!), and we're getting more hairy, but still no real nugs forming.

JarJar Kush and Chewy Kush are going to be Bomb Diggity.

I'm thinking JarJar Kush is going to have a little Cheese n Chaze in it because JarJar is just so fuggin cheesy.
