Strange Spots

check the underside of leaves for bugs!! if not then the one with the tip suggests it cud be nute burn, maybe she doesnt want as much right now as the rate of growth has slowed down?, what are u feeding ?

The spots remind me of light burn from a plant getting to close to cfl's. But if you aren't growing with CFL light I would say nute burn.

there are no pests. The lights are about 18 inches away...my temps are 77 degrees. Im using botanicare organic nutes ...and im using at half strength. And they are growing very fast. The're still very young as i said about a month old from germination.
and as for my plants being too green ..thats just the flash from the camera that makes em look dark like that. ive grown before...did well...not doing anything different. i just dont understand thes dam spots.

ya i did ....awesome thread...some great info.
but i gotta tell u..some of the things im experiencing are hard to tell in photos if they are in fact the same problem.
My lower leaves do not get much light at all.
(im thinking thats why they are dying so early in the life of the plant)
heres what i pulled off yesterday all lower leaves.
i added some cal mag to the diet and it seems like the upper leaves are not developing any problems any more. Jut the lower leaves.
Does this look like leaves that receive minimal light??

Looks kind a like a MG def., might not get enough mg at 1/2 formula especially if you are using ro water. I would foliar feed them until you can straighten the root zone out. Green Magic would work great for example but there are plenty of foliar products out there. Waiting for root zone changes to take effect, assuming that we nail the problem on the head with the first try, which is never a given, can add a lot of time to your grow. Foliar feeding will give the plants what they need a lot faster, just don't overdo it (follow the instructions lol).

I had similar problem on my 4th and 5th week from seed.
My problem, I later found out, was my ph was way off on a few waterings.... faulty measuring on my part.
The other problem I had was my soil temp in the plant that was showing the most problems was well over 10 degrees colder than my other plants. Had to set one plant on the floor due to height issues and it was cold as hell.
Not sure if it's the same problem with yours but.....
Check ph of the stuff you put in, the runoff that comes out, and the temp of the medium you grow in...
Temp not only affects the ph of soil slightly but the ppm ratio as well.
Temp also affects the plants ability absorb nutrients... Soil below 60 degrees F locks out phosphorus among others.
Like I said, this helped my girls.... Hope it helps yours.... Because the fix is relatively easy... Good luck

Spots that are light colored such as off white color or pale are usually ph... Of course not always but usually.
Also, look at the leaves kinda off angle, see if you can tell if the surface of the leaf is bronzing.
It looks a little like a light dusting of rust over the surface. It will slowly progress and eventually will look like a full blown jute lock out.

wow never thought of the soil temps..i just assumed they were all the same...i havnt seen a soil thermometer anywhere...where can i get one....the plants are all on the floor.... my ph is always the same...around 7 thanks for ur help ....much appreciated
as of recently i added cal - mag to the diet....and i have no more spots on the new leaves...just the lower leaves are still dying.
im wondering of its just cuz they are so large and dont get enuff light because i have some lower leaves that are small...and they are fine. its just the larger leaves that dont get much light that are dying. so dam confused

yeah mate u gt a pretty full room there its prob as u said ,, nt much light at bottom, nice jungle though gd luck
