Strawberry Cough, 1000w HPS, Botanicare, 4x2.5x8 Medical Soil Grow

Not my first grow, but this my new setup. ;-)

Strain: Strawberry Cough
Light:
-Veg- T12 Fluorescent Tubes, 3 cool white, 3 warm
-Flower-1000w HPS SunMaster Bulb, Sun System Super Sun Hood with Diamond Ballast
Soil: Super Soil
Pot Size: 7 Gallon
Nuets: Botanicare
Ventilation: Valuline 4" Centrifugal Fan 171cfm
Area: 4x2.5x8
Co2: XxNinjaXx HomeMade Co2

Goal: A reliable system producing every month and half or so.

On the third week of my Botanicare Nuet program, will be cloning and flowering next week. Ive been working on improving my room when ever i get a chance. I work 56 hours weekly so im trying my best to get a system that i can just leave alone and do its own thing. I am open to addvice since i dont consider myself an expert. One thing i was looking to achieve from this setup was for it to be clean and organized.

Let me know what you think and like i said im open to any advice. Eventually i will be growing six at one time. And build a Veg Tent. :lol:

Very nice!

I myself toy'd with the idea of using 64w CFL's for veg then flower under 1000w.. I found that i can keep them very close to the plant so the plants wouldnt stretch as much.

Now im going to Aeroponics, you can see the DIY design here.. www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=113425
mines a 4x4 bontanicare flood table wich i should be able to get 64 plants under. (2 more weeks for my current soil babys 2 be done)

Only thing i noticed is your ballast is inside your room?

But +REP for sharing!

hey thanks, i might look into aeroponics in the future, the ballast is just in there not even hooked up yet. since i do plan on having 6 in that space. it wont be able to fit on the ground since those 7 gallon pots would take up all the floor space. i was planning on making a shelf for it up top, but i also have another closet right next to it the same size, so i might just throw it in there. a simple solution.

lookin good dude, I really like that 2X4 "rollcage" you built for the closet...great idea and very clean looking. I would def keep those ballasts off the ground, water+ballast=problems haha. Let me know how that cooling works out, My light is like a foot or two away from the window and it will just go straight out so I'm hoping I can get away with a few less cfm's. we shall see.

P.S. So you are pulling/blowing "cool" air and hot air both from above??

Thanks, The cage really helps out and makes it easy to attach anthing to. Plus if you rent you wont have to patch up your walls when you decide to move out. The ballast im gonna throw in the other closet right next to this one. The hot air is being sucked from the top as you can see in the pics, but what you dont see is the 3/4inch gap at the bottom of the door when it is closed(i have concrete floors not carpet). So cool air(around 77deg) from my apt is being pulled in through this gap. What i am gonna do is pick up another inline and place it right before the dryer exhaust duct(it will act as a booster). So i will have a fan before and after the hood.

I work at a winery and have access to boxes of 10kg active yeast, the water is free, so the only thing i buy is the sugar. So for me this method is very cost effiecent.

nice bro im using the C02 sheets in the tent let me know how the distill works im gona have a large garage side room to do 3000w like 36 plant grow this winter in the valley. I just now noticed 559 in ur name hahaha i was ripped last night, my homies homegrown la con and WW hash bong bowls. If we happen to know of each other private message names so we dont blow anyone up ya dig

thats wuts up bruh. It wouldnt be a bad idea to throw in a couple bottles in your grow to go along with them co2 sheets for your larger grow. If your in my area i can hook you up with some yeast since we have a shit load at my work.

Update: so i woke up this morning to find all my clones dead, fukin sucks. I guess i under estimated the heat from the cfls. fuk it shit happends. Started up the HPS and let it run for a good half hour with the fans on and the temp was in the high 90's. So i got out the drill and started changing shit around to see if i can drop the temp. I lowered the ac temp in my place from 77* to 74*, that should help some. But heres how i redid the setup. Placed the inline right before the dryer duct exhaust, this way its pulling the heat from the lamp instead of pushing. It also eliminated 3/4 of the total ducting that i had before.

I took all the clones from the bottom of the plants so at least now i wont have those branches using up any nuets, and should get bigger tops. But well see. Looks like im gonna have to take a trip to the clinic and pick up some new babies. Any suggestions for strains?

Temp 86* most of the day in the grow room. Its hot here in Cen*Cal been in the triple digits the past few weeks, so in the upcoming weeks the temps will start to drop which should help out even more.

Week 3 and its official both plants are 5ft tall. one at 5'3'' the other 5'0. took these pics with my cell phone, but i installed the new T5 i got for my veg room. just threw it in there to give the hps a few hours break. but just for today. cuz the the hps is doing work on these monsters.

Everyone looks great :D.. And nice pick up with the BK. I grew out 3 Banana Kush clones last round. Phenominal plant, even greater smoke.
