cowboy is wrong. anyone who is well read or well taught can tell you this. if you were to take his advice you would end up with a male plant that has female flowers, thus having MALE CHROMOSOMES. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT. what you are seeking is a female plant with male flowers, which still contains FEMALE CHROMOSOMES. if you dont want to take my word for it, then read up...SUBCOOL is an awesome breeder who originated the Querkle strain as well as Jack The Ripper. he seems to think youve got it backwards, and so does everyone who knows what theyre talking about. below is a link to an article written by a breeder called SOMA. you may recognize that name from the famous breeder SOMASEEDS.nl
but to actually answer the questions you have: there are several ways to stress a female, such as "light poisoning", colloidal silver, or gibberellic acid. yes these seeds will produce more hermaphrodites, but since you will no longer have males, its a trade off that you have to decide on for yourself. the great part of producing feminized seeds for me is that i can keep my favorite strain's genetics going without having to cross it with something that might make it less potent or less flavorful, and i wont have to keep clones under a light to keep the genetics alive, i can just stick them in the freezer
hope this helped clear up the fog produced by those who dont know what theyre talking about. -peace
