Stressing and hermies.

So, a Bubbleicious plant recently developed male preflowers early in the flowering cycle -- about two weeks in. It was cut down.

I don't understand why it got stressed. pH was perfect, no light leaks, perfect temperature. However, a few weeks prior I took clones from it. Does cloning or removing branches from the plant stress the plant? Also, does transplanting stress the plant? These were feminized seeds from Nirvana. These were grown earlier this year and got pollinated by a hermie Short Rider, but were left to grow out.

Tips?

yes, hacking bits off the plant tends to stress it out a bit but 2 weeks in, its probably more about genetics
yeah i took numerous clones from my girls and did pruning and lst all within 1-3 weeks of flower and id say if they are delayed at all its maybe a week and no pollen sacs whatsoever

genetics.

taking cuts wont promote hermies, neither will cussing it out or creaming at it lol.Seriously I'd bet that 95% of herms are genetic herms not environmental herms.Take a clone that you know is 100% female and play light tricks on it,its not as easy as you think to make a pure female develop male parts

So were the plants grown from feminised seeds from Nirvana or from seeds from the plants that were pollinated by the hermie Short Rider?

Grumpy, this particular Bubbleicious was a feminized seed from Nirvana. I nerfed my "crossed" seeds because I knew they wouldn't amount to anything.

I am beginning to think I accidentally opened the tent while my closet light was on, but my HPS was off.

See, I didn't think it was so easy to make a plant go herman, either. I think for this particular Bubbleicious, I will just chalk it up to genetics. I'm a little wary of ordering feminized seed now, but maybe I'll give it one more shot.

Go with paradise seeds female seeds and all will be well,I still cant believe it took me so long to find them.I have 4 acid 3 opium 3 jacky white and 9 sernsi star all feminized seeds and about to finish without a nanner.A Paradise seeds fem grow is just like using cuts as far as finishing a female plant man I just love these guys
