Stressing the plant before harvest to push THC

I think I've read somewhere that you can drive a nail through the base of the plant a couple of days before harvest, and this is suppose to stress the plant, and in doing so, causes the plant to push more THC to the buds. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
thanks.

iv heard it too, but not that severe.
i heard that if you prick the leaves with a pin, and hit the pot that the plants in to stress it out can increase the thc.
personally, i wouldnt bother tho. :weed:

i've heard it, can't say if it's true. as with lozac, i wouldn' bother either. to start with, the seeds available today, there shouldn't really be a reason your plant is pumping out THC in the first place :)

THC is not pushed to the buds, THC is created in the trichome-heads themselves. It is the only place it is found on a plant, it is the only place it exists on a plant.

I heard that if you took a hermie plant in the early stages of flower and tried this same concept by poking the seed pods with a needle and shaking the plant .... doing this for about a week ..... supposably the seed pods fill in with trichomes allowing the plant to create more THC ..... IDK ... guess the theory is " it's a bird trying to eat the seeds so the plants defense is making false seed pods and filling them with trichomes " ? IDK if anyone else has heard this :)
