Started some new seeds under my 400w hid with Mh conversion bulb. Its been 12 days now... Problem is all my babies (9) Are somewhat stringy and most of them are having trouble mainting the upright position lol. Last night I put my 600w hps bulb out there two so that they are getting both sprectrums.... Right now they are on 15/9 lighting and I am feeding them a mixture of miricale grow and the B-52 growth hormone that was started 2 days ago... They seem to be doing better with the added hormome and hps light but I just want to make sure everythings good... ITs just some bagseed btw.. also my lights are about 14 inches away should i lower them some?

if you lower the lights you gotta take into consideration the heat radiated by the light - if you can compensate for the heat then ok but if not u risk burning the plant

Ya know,
I am growing two strains right now and with all things else being equal. They are in the same flood trays, under the same lights, same age, both from clones etc., on strain is all stretched out and lanky looking, but huge and the other is WAY compact and very indica acting.

I know it's not a stretch that was caused by my lights because the other strain didn't do it and my HPS light is now only 6" from the plants. (very good ventilation).

I just don't know what to tell ya, sometimes they get all stretchy.

from what i read it sounds like well, laserbrn-- ure plants are a hybrid and well one could be showing more of a sativa i think they call it phenotypes--
ive got a grow where the same seeds are shwoing all differnt kinda phenotypes or whatever they call it,
its either this or simply one got stressed somehow during the rooting process!
keep toking #1

its a good idea to start off with a less powerful light like 1 200w cfl blue spetrum for veg. you can put young seedlings within a couple of inches and without much heat build up.!
