Strip and driver question

Hey guys, I recently ordered 4 strips and a driver. They were out of 1 of the strips I ordered so i asked them to send me a suitable replacement.
They only sent me one of these BXEB-L0280Z-35E1000-C-B3

I was sent a
BXEB-L0560Z-35E2000-C-B3 as a replacement.

The original plan was to stick 4 of the
BXEB-L0280Z-35E1000-C-B3 on a LED40W-022-C1820-D driver.

Could I stick all 4 of these strips together?

Why did you choose that driver? 22volts at 1.8a . It doesnt seem like it would match up with your original 4. Doesnt really work with the oddball thrown in there with there either.
Your original strips are 700ma max at 19.5v
If you ran them in parallel it would work. 500ma to each strip

I posted in one of the LED threads a few days ago and was told to use 4 in series instead of 3.

Maybe I mixed up the strips and the big ones are what is used instead of these little guys.
The little ones are the perfect size for my needs though so I'll hang onto them for future use if anything.

The 3 would run on that driver in parallel. You would have to heatsink them pretty well though because they would be running near max.
The oddball probably wouldnt work very well in the mix.

edit... BXEB-L0280Z-35E1000-C-B3 are in stock at digikey for $2.80. With the fourth in there they would be running alittle softer

Thanks bud. I have fans I could use to actively cool them.
However, I found more of the L0280s available somewhere else and ordered 3 more in case I mess up.
Once they arrive I can add another.
Would I still need to actively cool with 4 strips?

My area could support up to 6 of these strips with current size restrictions.

I dont know how soft you would need to run those to not need heatsinks. Someone else here probably does.

I'll probably stick them in an enclosed case with a glass screen to protect them so active cooling will most likely be necessary.

I think I have all the info I need now thanks for the help.

There is no way in series, the driver is just 22Vo max, not even two will work with that driver.

Those strips are the same voltage. The only difference is, the 280mm has a Max of 700ma, and the 560 1400ma....

Edit: zooming in on the picture, that driver is a constant current driver, 1820 ma between 7- 22V....
Don't hook anything up yet!!!

I haven't yet gathered the courage to hook it all up so it's just been sitting until I have the other strips.

That driver has a voltage range, of just enough to light one strip, the problem is, it's over the max amperage for even the 560mm strip....

I could return it and order a different one, it's just that I'm a cheap bastard so the $5 really sold me on it after I saw it used here.

I'll stick it in the hoard with the bigger strip for now and maybe find suitable pairs for them later on.

I looked for the thread I copied the driver from for awhile but couldn't find it, I'll probably dig for it again to see if I even copied the right driver or if it was just an idea somebody tossed out there while he was putting together the build.

Could you recommend a driver to go with these smaller strips?
I only need around 40 watts with dimming.

Well hey throw a couple at your boy haha.

So with the HLG-40H-20A and 6 strips. This would be 30-40 watts right?

I'm having trouble seeing the difference between the 2 drivers going by the description on digikey.
Is the constant current and constant voltage the only difference?

That will work. The Shorty's are going to be running on the warmer side, but it's within the range. Good call.
