Stuck between some seeds.... and some other seeds

well i am finally satisfied with some of my genetics, but would like to branch out a little bit and get some pure beans to start from scratch!

i am lookin for a 9 week or less finisher, potent smoke, with an emphasis on great yields! please no suggestions like big bud, critical mass, etc. I want a good potent smoke with my heavies!

i dont really trust anything as far as genetics go unless i get the seeds directly or from one of three people i know... anyways here are the strains I am looking at choosing between. i probably am going to end up ordering 3 from the following:

Ceres seeds: White Indica
Serious seeds: AK47
Nirvana: B52
Flying Dutchman: Pot of Gold
Dutch Passion: Power Plant
Seedsman Seeds: Hash Passion
TH Seeds: The Hog

so far I am thinking Ceres White Indica, but not sure if they are a great breeder, havent heard much about em

Pretty certain on the AK47... i dont even know if it yields well but i smoked it back in the day and have been chasing it ever since

Flying Dutchman Pot of Gold... this seems to be a good yielder, and a great smoke... the holy grail if you will! anyone had experience with this one?

and TH Seeds The Hog.. used to have an AMAZING pheno of this back in the day.. one of the best smokes i ever had and great yields, but i hear there are tons of phenos and it is unstable, and im afraid i will be disappointed cuz i wont be able to find my baby!!


In addition to whatever I select, I will also order an Afghan 1, Skunk 1, for a basis for breeding.. anyone recomend a good seed breeder?

any info if you have grown these out would be appreciated, and reccomendations are always welcome!

No info for you, but I'm interested in your final selections and their results. Pot of Gold sounds like it would be worth a try?! How many new strains do you germ at once? Are these just side projects to play with while you tend a primary crop, or are you ordering these beans with production in mind? Just curious.

I've got 6 beans that sprouted last week (2 strains) and I germed 25 more yesterday (3 new strains). Plus, I just placed a new order (3 more new strains) that will arrive in a week or two. Am I biting off more than I can chew? It's like shoe shopping for chicks . . . I want them all! I've only got a 2x4 flower table, so I can't Mama them all. Should I start weeding out the slow ones early, or wait till I sex them?

i grew arjans haze#1,power plant,white rhino,skunk#11(same as skunk#1 but fem'ed)
and out of all of the above i only grew power plant so far this year,its a really good plant
and i enjoy growing it.the rhino was good to but power plant out produced it easy.the main reason
i posted is that i got the hog and pot of gold seeds ready for my next grow along with big budda cheese
and seedism cheesewreck.

Ya i plan on ordering in the next couple of weeks before xmas... hope i dont have to make this decision all myself! LOL

anyways ya i have a primary, but i like to mess with new strains now and again, if i were you I would just go ahead and germ the seeds, grow em out for about a month, then throw them in your flowering room to sex them.

after sexed i would weed out all the males, and take the top 2 or 3 females with the traits that you want. I tend to look for plants with vigor, and close internode spacing because they tend to yield the best and have tight colas and not a bunch of popcorn buds. this makes it easier to manicure, and maintain, esp. for lollypoppin.

after you get the best 2 or 3 females of each strain i would just veg them out so that i could take a few clones off of each one, keep track of what clones came from what mom, and see which one i liked the best in the end. then you can flower out the other two, and have the primary mother for each strain.. then just go from there!

also the hog is the only one that i have grown that you mentioned flash, and the mother i had was honestly the best plant i have ever had.. it was such a potent smoke, stunk like garlic armpit breath, dense as hell and had some of the best yields i have ever had.. true monster. but you have to be careful because from what i understand it has a bunch of varied phenos, so i would carefully track what clones you take from what mothers so you can be sure to pick out the best mother for your needs..

anyways i have been reading all of the jornals and doing all the research i can, and so far i am thinking that i will do ak, and pot of gold, and either white indica or power plant... still debating with myself but at least i am getting a tad closer i think LOL

well since nobody else chimed in with any expertise i guess i am going to go out on a limb and try to spread out my choices between proven, mythical, and experimental..

i am going to get the proven, ak47 from serious seeds because...well it is proven to be a potent smoke and a producer.

i am going to get the flying dutchman pot of gold for the mythical.. i say it is mythical because i have always heard of great smoke and huge yields, but i have never seen a well documented grow on them so i figure hey what the hell lets try it out.

and the experimental is the ceres seeds white indica... white strains are known to be great tasting and high potency, and this one boasts a very nice yield so i will check it out as well!

you can always go with the well proven, great strain of White Widow. There is no doubt that you will love it.
