Stuck in beginning stages of flower

I am growing 2 Ice plants under 8 cfl's in my growroom/closet. Lights are 3 inches from the tops of the plants. There is good air circulation. I have had them on 12/12 for a month now and they only jujst started flowering a week ago. But they seem to be doing this in ultra slow motion. They are in soil and I have only been giving them purified water. Do you guys think that some sort of bloom formula would work wonders on these puppies. Advice is needed and much appreciated.

Got any pics?

Some flowering nutes would make a BIG difference.

How old were they when you started flowering? No matter when you start to flower them, they will only flower once they're ready...

Do you have a suggestion of a specific brand of flowering nutes?

I fully understand that they will only begin to flower when they are ready. I just thought maybe I was doing something wrong.

I will try to upload pics when the lights come back on but the girls will be sleeping until 1 0clock my time and I don't want to disturb there slumber

if you have still only got pre-flowers and not actual buds after a month of 12/12 then you have a light leak that is strong enough to prevent them switching to flowering would be my guess

Yes, leave them sleep.

I use Fox Farm nutes on my grow.

When selecting nutes you need to look at the 3 numbers on the bottle. N-P-K. For flower you want low 'N' and high 'P' and 'K'.

Wow ya after 4 days of my NL#5 being on 12/12 i could see that they were starting to bud so yeah a month of 12/12 and still stuck at the start of flower something is REALLY wrong. I agree with the light leak theroy, and IMO bloom nutes would make a WORLD of differnce and i know some people who use molassas during the flush i use it ALL the way during flower add's a nice stickyness to the buds for one and it gives thema BIG dose of carbs and that helps burn the nutes if there are any built up in the stems
