Studying while high?

I've been out of school for over a decade, like to get high after work or wake n bake on my days off. My work is in structural steel erection, and the class is of the same topics- so not totally new to me, but very dry boring subject.

Should I try to quit cold turkey and study on my holidays?
Read while high, but reread multiple times?
I just don't want to waste my time, sober or trying to study buzzed without success;
but figured I'll ask here.
Anyone make progress studying
W a mild buzz going?

I think I know the answer to my question... but I'm holding out hope I can have my cake and eat it too.
