Stupid Move here. Told one person about my grow... I know please read and no lecture

everything but what you had in the dirt is perfectly legal. you could always move and not tell your shitty friend, then start over. it'd be funny if they had a signed deposition only to find nothing. it'd make your friend look like a total liar and filing a false report. then show the cops the keylogger....that IS theft and you have proof. it's intellectual copyright infringement. send him packing and get started again.
 
You like to grow peppers, etc. They cant do you for having something that can be legally bought in a million places worldwide. HPS lights are used in carparks, grow tents could be a portable wardrobe, pots soil and nutes can be used for growing sunflowers. Jsut dont have any evidence of the actual plants. And they could search your house to make sure you've no sale or supply buds there, just bear that in mind.
 
i dont believe 1 guy going to them saying he has a grow room will get them to do anything. they need more proof then just someone say anything. he needs more proof than his word. alot more proof. if that were the case i could go around saying everyone was growing and they would have to inspect everyone. he would need to show them some kind of something. they would a c.i to make a controled buy if your selling drugs for a warrent not just the word of a phone call.

that might all be true, but it's better safe than sorry, and they don't need a warrant to knock on the door, or step on the porch for a sniff test. walking the property for evidence, or checking trash at the curb doesn't require a warrant. all it takes is for 1 cop to do his due diligence to get the trouble rolling.
 
yeah this isn't a game of what you MAY or MAY NOT have. If their gone, their gone, I'd have trunked em and tried a superrthrive rebound outdoor this time a year, but since it is gone.

Clean up area. Co,mpletely. Make area look viable to whatever else, stroage and so on. Don't let you house be dumpy. Have it clean. Keep convo short. If the vibe is good tell them the work story ahead of time. They already think he is a bitch. Even cops dont respect snitches. you know just yes sir no sir can i get you guys a drink..bs a little let em have at it aoround house, and be cool. Chances are they will spot things telling them you grow. Its their job, but if you ride it like that..eye to eye and cool. They wont have a hard on for you. It'll pass. What I'm saying is if they are gone. Make it look tightg as to respect the cops writing up that incident report in your favor or with suspicion.
 
What state are you in? if in cali do you have your doctor recommendation? and how many plants? I've had the cops come to my old house over my ex-roommate they saw the plants and my doctors rec and went own their way I had only 6 plants. Sorry for your set back that dude's a fuck head for doing that.:?

I am in SC, good ole bible belt... you never know what they will come knocking for. I am just torn up about the 3 months down the drain. I was starting to realize the full beauty of my work and had to burn it all. In the end it's my fault. You know someone for 23 years, give them a job, computer... try to do all you can to help them in their lives and then this is the thanks. I was stupid and did not even want to install the keylogger. My business partner insisted and I am glad he did.

South Carolina - you did the right things, unless the local jurisdiction is MJ friendly, which doesn't sound too likely
there are other threads where it was 1 snitches word, and it was enough

It's not your fault for being cool, you tried to help someone who you thought was a friend. I had almost the same problem less the snitching part but had a friend work with me and all it was was a bunch of headaches and I told myself no more friends or family in the work place.
 
his action do make sense in this ecomony people r desperate and will do crazy things im in the bible belt to and they will burn your ass and yes they will act on one persons word and will get a search warrant my sis used to date a cop on drug task force years ago they get a tip from unreliable source that a judge might not give a warrant for so the tell a proven informant someone told us joe blow is growing didnt u say u seen his plants and proven informant will say yes i did then they will go to judge and say we got two tips on this guy and one is from a proven informant u remember him dont your honor u gave us that last search warrant on his say so and it was a good bust

u need to grow some other plants like herbs then when they come thats that or the will know u chopped them or moved them then it becames personal to bust u later because they hate when they have egg on their face and they will start watching u and
 
If you dont grow herbs or peppers, disassemble everything. Find a storage place rent it for 50 bucks a month throw it all in their. Cops need a whole new warrant to search somthing or somwhere of yours thats not on the property.
Paying a couple hundred bucks for awhile is better then get busted.

As for your friend, i have 3 options.
1. Charge him for theft for the purpose of dristribution for personal profit. if he still has your computer charge him for stealing company property.
2. Go to your local hardware store. Get a ballpeen hammer grab ahold of him and smash every toe and finger.
3. Go to the sketchest part of town and pay some cracker to kill him/ hurt the guy.

If you charge him and it goes through his stament may seem more like an attempt to get out of charges. You can also blackmail him with charging him.

Im sorry if it seems overboard, but being betrayed by someone you help out so much really sucks.
 
telling the cops would likely cause them to investigate you. if you got rid of everything you have nothing to worry about.

it's easy to say this guy was probably just bluffing because he's an asshole and was pissed, but if he was doing some grimy shit he probably is the type that would snitch. i'd consider pressing charges about the free software given away, as long as you're not growing any more his arguments wouldn't hold up in court, and he's likely issuing it as his only defense against legal action. honestly dude, if you can't afford litigation i'd try to take up a collection on here as a way to bury a fucking rat.

people need to know this guy is rat, especially mutual acquaintances and friends. telling them that he said he called the cops is not nearly as effective as telling them he said he called the cops and that they actually paid a visit to you, his reputation is destroyed at that point.
 
Get your cannabis plants the hell out of town " my moms favorite saying " " get the hell out of town " ! If you get busted with your plants if your illegal then think about all you could loose your home your car your business. in all realitly you could right now being watched from over above or from one to two blocks away. One time when i was very young 15 i thought i coud trust one of my friends he turned snitch and the ATF no joke came looking for my plants i didnt have enough time to take them and hid them so i had to grind them in the bargadge disposal. LAST DITCH CORSE . witch is what i had to do with only 5 min or less when i saw the ATF at the front door ! HA HA ATF ! i got my plants grinded and you dumbasses never found out ! and now i am telling the truth ! the truth comes out ! im coming out of the closet !
 
Keep all the equipment in place and plant some bazel, tomato or small herb plants.
If the cops show up you have a legal grow and can say the friend thought he saw MJ.
Dont attempt to grow MJ in the place you currently had a grow going ever again, find a new secret grow place

This has all been great stuff. I destroyed the plants and put the equipment in storage. In a month or so it will pass, but in the mean time the website domain he was trying to set up as his get rich plan was bought with my credit card so I called the place and had them transfer ownership to me. The site was also hosted on my $400/month servers for free as a favor to him. That was his big scheme and all he had. It is making 700 bucks a month already and just getting started. I would have never done it, but he threatened my livelihood and my family. He later said he was bluffing, but fuck that guy. I don't trust it either way and even though it hurt to torch my plants, I can do it again. My business is booming and this is a small set back. For him I can't say the same. I took back the laptop the company gave him, snatched his domain and he had recently sold his car for a moped since he lived near my office. His life is in the gutter and will stay there. You get what you put into life. I always gave for that bitch. Life will get him back in the end. Thanks for all the kind words, even though some were brutal as hell... very satisfying to read.

Next time I will only share my info on the forum.
 
Agreed. That said, I think it will be more satisfying knowing that he will live his shitty life while mine only gets better and I take his site and make it profitable in his face. It was shitty. As the movies show we were offering to help him do his own thing. I mean I have never met a bigger idiot. All I can do is send him links to the site as it gets better so he is reminded. I am working on an android app for it as well.
 
You did the right thing!

Police can take a "tip", and then use that tip to open an investigation. When they do that, they do something simple........... Subpoena electric company and look at your usage as an example and determine if its similar to usages of other grow operations. Your journal showed what looked like one or two lights, so your usage isnt even more than an Xbox left on overnight. If your grow was substantial, say 5000 watts +++ then you've had a hell of a lot more to move and a lot more holes in walls to patch up. :)

Glad you got it out of there safe. I visit SC a few times a year as my Mother and her third husband live in the state. Pretty country, weather is always nice it seems. GL!
