"Stupid Stoners"

Ok...So I'm at work tonight and I noticed some people were maybe acting a little different towards me. Someone made a comment along the lines of "If your not too high to get this accomplished" and "Somebody has the munchies". So I guess I have been outed by someone as a pothead at work. I am pretty damn discreet about any kind of dealing I do there or my growing etc. I love smoking weed. I love everything about cultivation and the plant, and I'd love to scream it out to everyone, but I FUCKING HATE the fact that there are these stupid motherfuckers out there that automatically think I'm a retard because I'm a user. Like because I smoke marijuana every brain cell in my head has ceased to exist. Nothing bothers me more than this ridiculous stereotype. So to all the "potheads" that act like fucking dumbasses and are "too high" to function properly FUCK YOU! Act like you have a god damn brain in your head so maybe the next generation will not be discriminated against. Hold yourself to a higher standard, as marijuana smokers, as intelligent people because your fucking us right in the ass. Ok my rant is over, I'm getting blazed on these elephant purps.

Thats a special dog. Little bastard jumped out my car window at 8 weeks old and her leash got stuck on the window and I dragged her a quarter mile! Cost me $2300 to save her, but it was worth it. She's got this really cool retarded little foot now. She's a bad ass.

Its just the stigma surrounding it. Hopefully legalization in some states in the U.S will change that, but we can only hope. :/

I think your right. Eventually we will get equality, and be accepted by society as equals the more legal it becomes. If I could use a time machine and go back and kill anyone in the history of the world it would be Harry Anslinger...maybe Hitler...nope Anslinger.

I would sit on the uni steps before a four hour exam and would smoke the fattest J's. it was funny everyone around me revising hard and I was just kicking it back, I had already done all my revision and knew my shit inside and out.. I did the same for every exam.. it was my ritual.. I finished with a first class degree in software engineering. That was indica. I loved those 4 hour exams. I would run out at least one new pen I was wiriting so much and bursting with new ideas, never went into an exam without at least 2 pens.

I just guess it affects different people differently. I tend to analyze harder and focus deeper when I smoke and whilst I may consider things for longer.. When I do do them I am confident of a good result without any fuck ups.

Aint no one on the course I was on going to be thinking pot smokers are dumbasses

Erm, have you taken the time to consider it's just idle ribbing. You know, as in not actually insinuating that you are stupid?

Personaly i find it fucking stupid to accuse people of being stupid motherfuckers before you've considered all of the options. I also consider dealing at work stupid.

But yes, i'm sure they are geuinely questioning whether you are too high to do the work they want you to do....

I really don't like Michael Phelps after that incident. As someone in the national spotlight he had the chance to say " Yeah, I occasionally smoke weed, and guess what, I still won 19 gold medals you twits!" Instead like another sheep he says "I'm sorry".

So you know for fact he only hit the bong once?
imo, anyone who smokes out of a bong is pretty much a pothead.. normal people who might smoke cannabis from time to time imo are more likely going to smoke a joint before going to a concert with a few buddies once a year when they get away from the old lady and kids for a boys night out or w/e.. if you're hitting a bong, you're a pretty hardcore smoker imo..

I don't blame him for saying sorry, if he went the other way he would have lost his sponsors and wouldn't be able to buy anymore weed.

that's easy for me and you to say, but honestly, if i was in his position, i can't say i would have manned up.. you have any idea of how much money athletes make from endorsement deals?? and almost any big co that's going to pay that kind of money isn't going to want to be associated with marijuana, right or wrong as it is...
what's he really going to do, throw away a million dollar deal with tag heuer watches hoping he get's a ten dollar deal with roor instead?? i don't think so..

btw, i also happen to hate the stigma that is attached to weed.. like the op said, people think only idiots smoke pot or do drugs in general, which we all know is far from the truth..
people of all walks of life smoke weed.. how many of us would ever have met a person like cannabineer in real life if he didn't lower himself to talk to us here if you know what i mean??
it is bs though as we know that only perfectly normal and intelligent people drink alcohol.. :wall:

this is exactly what is wrong.. Poeple should be thinking of it more in terms of alcohol than crack.. No one would of batted an eyelid if he had said he enjoys the occasional glass of wine with some friends. but to say you like to get stoned and have a giggle with some friends. Perhaps it is more about breaking the law then it is smoking a joint.

idk, i think it's more to do with the pot then the law honestly.. people just equate pot to idiot ime..

but as for your other point, i blame that on the war on drugs more than anything.. once nancy regan told kids that all drugs were equally bad and not to ever try any of them or you would die a horrible fiery death, she really did a huge dis-service to humanity imo.. first, you're telling people that cannabis is as bad as say heroin, which we all know is not true, then that kid tried weed and see's how it's harmless and now may think that, well, they lied to me about cannabis being bad for me, maybe they're lying about heroin being bad as well.. i think i'm going to try that next since they lied about weed being addicting and the devil et al..
if they made a distinction between marijuana and real hard drugs, we'd all be better off imo..

That's my whole point. He sold out his convictions for money. He would have been able to find other ways to make money had he lost sponsors. Talk shows, books, Lifetime movie of the day Swimming Crooked. I honestly think he could have propelled the movement to another level and did a big disservice by not. I can't really say what I would have done but I'd like to think if I had his clout, as big as it was right after the Olympics, I would have opened the can of worms.

He probably would have been overlooked as an Olympic hopeful regardless of his past achievements. Because Politics is stupid like that. There is no way the U.S. would allow an admitted pothead activist to represent the country. I agree that he bent over and took it in this ass without so much as a whimper, but, he had a franchise to protect. His entire future was at stake and his only accomplishment was learning how to swim real fast in an oversized bathtub. There ain't much lucrative work out there for a tall skinny white boy that likes to play in the water. He folded under the pressure. Like the saying goes, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."
